Summary
Holmes gets called away suddenly to solve a case and writes letters to Watson keeping him informed. Two of the letters contain an unfamiliar comma in the middle of a very familiar phrase. Watson frets over what it’s supposed to mean, if anything at all.
“Holmes stepped closer to me; merely an intimate distance separated us. It was not uncommon for us to disregard personal boundaries, but with my mind currently hung up on an incriminating comma, it was closer than I was comfortable with.
“Tell me what is troubling you,” he requested softly, showing only genuine concern for me.
I looked up slightly, into his eyes, and shook my head again, “I cannot. It’s impertinent, improper, and quite possibly indecent.”
“My dearest Watson, there is nothing you could say to me that I would judge you harshly for. I know the good man that you are; there is no danger here.”
My heart leapt at the endearment and I knew that I could not continue living like this, ever wondering if there was maybe something more between us than friendship.
“On the contrary, I fear that there is incredible danger in what I am about to ask of you.”"

They didn’t take him seriously, his concerns were always ridiculous, easy to ignore, something that he shouldn’t even be worried about because it was so stupid-
He tried to swallow the lump growing in his throat. They didn’t say that- they never said that- but he could feel it through the looks they gave him, the way their eyes flashed, how their words always seemed to be coated with a sickeningly sweet ‘little brother.’

Slingshot hasn’t had any problems phighting Biografts before. Usually they’re a quick point for the team if they’re taken out fast enough—you just have to be able to outrun them. That’s the norm.
Except this time, the shields aren’t working, and this particular Biograft seems to have anger issues.
(Slingshot tries to beat up a robot. It doesn’t turn out so well.)
