The wagging tail was distracting. He still had the raccoon dog ears and tail like when Kurapika first busted him in human form. The fluffy tail reached slightly past his head, and the ears were enlarged to match his human size.
Lucilfer smiled when their eyes met.
Kurapika didn’t.
“Are you…” He honestly didn’t know where to start. “A furry?”
For the studious Kurapika, finding his school rival indefinitely stuck in the form of a half-animal is the last thing he expects his final year at Hogwarts to have in store for him.
The deal was supposed to be simple, tolerate each others’ presence for the time being and then go on their separate ways once the curse is undone. Unfortunately, he neglected to consider that Chrollo Lucilfer is nothing if not a total enigma, and perhaps this unlikely roommate arrangement is not at all as simple a secret as his annoying and absolutely not attractive nemesis is making it out to be.

Through the cacophony of gunshots and bloody murder screaming, Kurapika heard the slow, deliberate clicks of heels, stopping just as her blindfold was lifted. The first to greet her slowly adjusting sight was a woman whose bounty could feed a household for the next generation. Cold blood splattered on her face glistened in the same color as her lipstick. Those lips curled into a crazed smile after leaning in and leaving her mark on Kurapika’s cheek.
“Happy to see your darling in shining armor?” Chrollo purred against the prosecutor’s ear whilst twisting her around and shooting a man dead behind her.
Kurapika bared her teeth once the hitman tore the tape off her mouth; her face most definitely wasn’t burning where Chrollo had kissed her. “You’re the one who got me kidnapped in the first place!”
Or: Even in such a lawless city, no one expected Prosecutor Kurapika and Hitman Chrollo to be partners.
