“Reyna’s mother is Bellona,” Nico says, shaking out his hands in a failed attempt to get feeling back into them. “She has no real Greek equivalent. Maybe Enyo, but even then, not really. She’s a goddess of war and conquest.”
“That doesn’t really answer my question, though,” Will points out.
“It answered one of them,” Nico huffs. “I was getting to it. But you’re right. No telepathy. For that you’d have to look at Athena, Hera or Hypnos. Or Koios, but he’s a titan. No, essentially I can sense souls in the Overworld, but not where they are. So I just tugged at hers a little. Hazel might be able to do it, too.”
“Fascinating,” Will says. “Hazel is your sister, right?”
Nico nods. “She’s one of the Seven. And dating the other praetor of Camp Jupiter.”
“You’ll have plenty of time to tell me about it. You’re stuck here for three days after all,” Will says, holding the door to the infirmary open for him. “Welcome to my domain, Death Prince.”

He’s been trying to just keep his mouth shut and deal with the hurtful and condescending comments since he knows they all got bigger fish to fry at the moment. But then everything comes to a boiling point during the latest meeting with Master Yen Sid and in the aftermath it becomes too much. With the threat of rage form making an appearance, he falls back on the only coping mechanism he knows can make it go away. It’s obviously not the best way to go about it, but it works and that’s what matters most. Until he gets caught in the act by his best friend.
