Summary
Angel has spent eons in service to the heavens, doing his duties as the Angel of Death at the call of his master. Aki has done much of the same as a soldier—a human, though one who can borrow more lifespan—fighting against the devils in Hell. They're long overdue for a break, having put off their time away to prove their loyalty through service. That loyalty earns them a gift, and they indulge in it fruitfully.

Summary
The first class of the day is a boring one, a gen-ed that Aki should’ve gotten out of the way three years ago but had resolutely forgotten about until his advisor reminded him about it. It’s one of those big lectures filled that Aki could probably skip. The professor doesn’t know a single person’s name. And that’s exactly what Aki had been planning on doing, until he saw Angel.
Aki sits next to a pretty boy in class and brings him hot chocolate when he's sick.

As soon as he gets his ice cream, he’ll go home. He’ll lean against the railing that encloses his fourth story balcony with a cigarette in-hand and enjoy a single hour of alone time before his roommates come barging through the door with jabs about his gullibleness already stashed in their arsenal. He can picture it now—both the reprieve on the balcony and the carnage that’s sure to follow.
It’s a thought that lasts until he sees a pair of hands place something that is decidedly not a small vanilla cone in front of him. Aki looks up in preparation to scold his roommates for messing with him again, only to be silenced by a voice that doesn’t belong to either of them.
“Enjoy,” the newcomer says with little intonation.
Then, the world goes still.

The words die on Angel’s lips, sentence trails off unfinished when he finally looks at Aki, who’s rifling through the glossy pictures he pulled out of a manila envelope.

Hua Cheng held up a finger, an obnoxious be-quiet gesture, but He Xuan listened. He needed to know.
“When ingested by an immortal, the flower grants that immortal the power to share the gift of immortality with another. There’s a bit of a process. Harvest the flower together. They eat the petals. Then it’s a simple blood-letting, blood-drinking ritual. Nothing too involved.”
He Xuan is going to be undead forever, but Shi Qingxuan only has a short, mortal lifespan left. Facing this fact, He Xuan has no choice but to confront his feelings for Shi Qingxuan, and to try and mend things between them while there's still time.

Summary
Dabi is in the strange position of hiding from his past by being really, ridiculously obvious to everyone from his past on national TV. With the League bar a smoking ruin, he jumps straight from The Bachelorette into Bachelor In Paradise with the hope that the program’s “secret” location and army of bodyguards will keep him from being kidnapped a second time… or. Well. A third time, really. He just needs to play it cool, but that’s hard when Hawks has followed him to Paradise too, and Dabi can’t seem to concentrate on any of the other contestants.
Hawks is in the strange position of playing secret bodyguard for the man he’s fallen for, because the only other informants for the HPSC’s darkest secrets have either disappeared or been killed. This piles more angst on top of his already-confusing crush. Is he even allowed to have a crush? Emotions are hard. Hawks is suffering.
Meanwhile Natsuo is horrified but vindicated when he learns that the details of his brother’s death were forged; half of the U.A. staff is on the hunt for Oboro Shirakumo, who called into a radio show despite being dead for over ten years; and the League may not be villains, but they don’t take an insult laying down.

Wandering aimlessly in a new city was not an effective way to plan your future. But now that he’d taken those few days off, he had determined that yes, he was going to need a job of some kind. He always heard that hero agencies paid the most, but he couldn’t stand how fake heroes could be.
After walking another two blocks, Dabi stopped to squint at the tall, glistening building in front of him. Between the immaculate windows and his own poor eyesight, the far away kana took a lot of time to decipher.
