Summary
What is a betrayal, that is devoid of love?
Is every action bittersweet, entangled with choked admiration? Greedily taking all it needs, before it deattaches, like a leech?
Is there a thought shaking the fingers when they hold the hilt of the sword, that all of this will turn out better for the other?
Or is it just an act of revenge? Twisting the blade as many times as neccesary to make sure it hurts, sinking deeper between the ribs so that the pain is greater than anything else?
Is it just meant to be boring, no triumph speech, no silent confessions, just ripping the blade out of an already wounded body?
Zam wonders if any of them meant anything.

Summary
Zam looks at the blood on his hands, and he looks at the unknocked door in front of him. If he was being smart he would go bandage his wounds in silence, but the dreadful part of Zam that demands he be seen strands him at Subz’s door in the middle of the night.
He stands far longer than he should, letting the blood run down him. Draining from slits in his arm, gently coating his hand. It’s warm, as the blood trickles between his fingers it almost feels he’s holding someone's hand. But he’s not. Zam is alone, and he will be alone for as long as he isn’t knocking on this door. Or maybe in a few hours when Subz prys himself from Vitalasy’s grasp to start his day.
Regardless, inaction will only lead to more bloodloss and loneliness. And while he’s been accustomed to those things he doesn’t want to be. And he doesn’t think he has to settle for them.Bookmarked by spilt

Abyss is over. Bacon didn’t expect it to mean that the Void Ponies were over too, but after Jumper’s betrayal. And the fact that Pentar wanted to leave also. There’s just no way for them to prance through this one.
So it’s almost back to how it was in the beginning, just him and Mapicc against the world. They make a good team, Mapicc as the brawn, Bacon the brains. Together they stood on steady ground in the turmoil of Lifesteal.
And of course, Bacon had Zam now too. A heart to complete he and Mapicc’s dynamic duo. It was nice to work with Zam, he seemed reliable. Mapicc was hesitant to trust him again, but after they got over that, all three of them had been an amazing team. And will continue to be a fucking amazing team.

The prince is awake again, eyes widening along with a cry, sputtering on ichor that could be the leftover his lungs or the skin from his lips.
Under a scorching gaze, death is a casualty. If scarlet were not so bountiful, Zam would remember to cherish the way his arms fall limp to the side, and how Mappic's stay on the sword.
Gore bubbles from the lesion, it matches with Mapicc.
