Summary
Eighth cycle. Slingshot knew what was going to happen. Coil would come over to the cafe at night, stay for a while and pester him until Slingshot would usher him out of the cafe, then he’d never come back. He was prepared to try and avoid the same situation again, but no matter what he tried, it would always be the same. No matter whether he let Coil leave, make him stay, walk him home, bring him back to his apartment, there was nothing Slingshot could do to avoid it. He’s tried seven times already, and frankly, he was getting tired.
OR
Slingshot gets stuck in a time loop moments before Coil goes missing. He tries everything he can to stop it from happening.

Summary
Once every three days, he would pack his bag with snacks, a stand umbrella, a picnic blanket, a portable charger and his phone. Then, when he arrived, he would sneak behind the school before class started, making sure nobody could see or notice him. It always worked, considering the school didn’t have much security guards except for the ones at the front of the school patrolling the gates.

Summary
Zuka was never someone who liked having people cling onto him, especially when he was sleeping. He found the heat to be bothersome, always ending up uncomfortably warm with someone pressed up against him under the covers. When Rocket was younger, he was used to his son clinging onto him tightly, and although he would practically sweat buckets from the heat in the room and the warmth emitted from his son’s body, he still refrained from pulling away, letting the smaller comfort himself through the tight hugs. Considering his preferences, he wondered how he found himself in this situation during the night prior.

It’s late at night, and Zuka is alone. That is, until a certain deity stops by to visit. Zuka finds himself spending the night with them.

Summary
As much as he hated to admit it, he made a mistake before going out. He had forgotten his coat, of all things, back at the lab when he dashed out of the door. Now, usually, if it wasn’t winter in the Inpherno, he wouldn’t have been so annoyed about it, but considering he was in Blackrock, the faction where every season was winter, he was more likely to die of hypothermia than to make it back to the lab in one piece. However, he would not allow himself to get bested by some stupid weather, so, out of pure pride and spite, he continued on his journey to the store to find the equipment he needed.
OR
Subspace is tasked to go out and get supplies for his experiments. Stupidly enough, he forgets his jacket at the lab, leaving Medkit to (reluctantly) tend to him despite his dislike for the other.

When Grian joins Mumbo working at The Hermit Coffee Co., he is thrown into a world of caffiene and chaos, with meddling co-workers, rambunctious regulars, and an absolutely henious amount of group chats. The friends he left back home miss him, Mumbo's college friends (cough, frat bros, cough) keep pestering him, and his new friendship with a certain scarred individual is developing in a way he never expected.
Will he be able to shake off the meddling redstoners? What will happen when there are two potential romances blossoming on either side of him? And will these baristas ever stop texting each other and just make me my goddamn soy-milk capuccino?

A coffeeshop AU told through the texts between hermits. Now a combination of texts and prose from chapter 7 onwards.

Hotguy beamed at him. "Well then! Why don't we get you home, beauty?" Hotguy questioned, holding his arm out for Grian to take.
Grian rolled his eyes but indulged the hero. He slotted his hand through the man's arm and gave him a questioning smile, "Seriously, why do you keep calling me that?"
Hotguy gave a sly smile but nothing else, letting the professor's question be left on a cliffhanger.

Grian just can't get a break. He works a double life, has to deal with an annoying hero cop, and now there's someone or something following his every move. So, being the idiot he is, does everything in his power to ignore such. Unfortunely, that can not be done for long.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”
