Summary
Ichor-like golden ink on Aziraphale's wrist spelled out the name Raphael. The problem was: nobody knew where the archangel Raphael was, exactly.
Gabriel firmly believed that his little brother Raphael had been overwhelmed by the amount of hurt and betrayal and had fled. He also firmly believed that Raphael would be back, and until then, he'd take Aziraphale under his wing. Prepare him for what it meant to be bound to an Archangel in the way Aziraphale was. For how an Archangel would love.
An Archangel, Aziraphale learned, was hard to please. An Archangel, Aziraphale learned, would accept, would *love* nothing less than perfection.
And Aziraphale– well, he was a lot less than perfection.

Summary
Crowley was wrapped around Aziraphale, as tightly as their human forms allowed. He pressed lazy kisses to the side of his face, whispering sleepily in his ear. Things that made him feel good, made him feel worthy, made him feel loved. "Sssweet angel. Were ssso lovely for me. My sssoft angel."
Aziraphale tensed, all the good feelings he usually had after their lovemaking evaporated. Crowley didn't seem to notice, nuzzling into him and probably already asleep. Aziraphale was far from sleeping, now.
Crowley had said he didn't care about his body. When sober, he called Aziraphale sweet and wonderful and good and, Aziraphale's favorite, my angel, mine – but almost never pretty or beautiful.
And now, he'd called him soft. Twice. It was as if his fears were coming true: Crowley was finally seeing the truth: Aziraphale was a boring bookhoarder, slow to change, very inexperienced and, on top of it all, soft.
Crowley could do much better for himself. He'd waited for Aziraphale for so long, longer than anyone else on Earth could fathom. And now, after realizing that the angel really wasn't anything of what he'd imagined, his sweet, kind demon was probably letting him down slowly, trying to make it hurt less. -

Summary
Crowley felt guilt.
It was an entirely undemonic emotion, and one that kept him up at night. One that made him go to his garden for hours, yelling at his plants until his voice was hoarse and digging out weeds until the dirt caked under his fingernails couldn't be washed off without a miracle.
It was especially bad after spending time with Adam, because it made Crowley realise exactly what he had done. He had abandoned Warlock. And, well, one cannot raise a kid for the majority of his life without forming some kind of bond. Especially not Crowley, who, despite his best efforts, got attached easily and quickly. So, he felt guilty for abandoning his little hellspawn, and he missed him.

Summary
The palace has gathered the young women of noble families to find the emperor a suitable empress, queens and perhaps a few concubines as well. Aziraphale, the youngest daughter of Count Herald at the age of 19, is amongst these women, having just been introduced in high society a year prior. She's told by her father to keep her head down and do her best to bring honour to her house, alongside the wealth her family is paid for sending her as a tribute. Her brother, Gabriel, gives her a farewell gift and makes her promise to do her best to take of herself.
Aziraphale has no illusions of what will happen to her. She is a counts daughter, and not even beautiful in the way noblewomen are supposed to be. Opinionated, shy, with too plump a body and cheeks, alongside a head of unruly curls, she expects to be introduced then forgotten quite easily.
Things do NOT go according to plan

CROWLEY: I try not to make a habit of gratitude, but I must give our appreciation to everyone out there who’s been listening and subscribing to The Ineffable Plan.
AZIRAPHALE: Ooh, yes, we’ve become quite popular, haven’t we?
CROWLEY: Yeah, just hit number eight on the advice charts … No advertising at all.
AZIRAPHALE: Mm. How … miraculous.
CROWLEY: … Aziraphale. You did not.***
Crowley and Aziraphale are very possibly the people least qualified, on the entire planet, to start up an advice podcast.
But what else is there to do when the world isn’t ending anytime soon, you’re technically on indefinite sabbatical from your lifelong careers, and you need a plausible excuse to spend more time with your best friend who you’re definitely not, absolutely not, maybe just a little, actually maybe overwhelmingly in love with?
