Summary
Buck’s not sure how it happens, but they find themselves falling into a rhythm. Buck goes on dates, not all of them as disastrous as the first, but none that warrant a second one, and afterwards he makes his way over to Eddie’s. They watch TV; they work on Eddie’s yard together; Buck starts teaching Eddie how to be a better cook.
And if Buck finds himself looking forward to seeing Eddie after his dates more than the dates themselves, well, that’s normal, right? It probably means nothing.

“Not it,” Buck and Eddie both grumble at the same time. It’s who-the-fuck-knows o’clock in the morning and their resident infant is screaming at the top of his lungs.
Buck groans and curls up, folding his pillow around his ears. He knows it’s his turn to deal with Chris, but he just wants one more second of sleep. Just one second.
“S’your turn, Ev,” Eddie slurs, rolling over and mirroring Buck’s position. Except he’s gonna get to stay in that position. Well. At least until the next wake-up call.

Christopher peered at him, his eyes bigger through his lenses. “Why?”
Buck nearly choked. “Why? Why… what? I mean, I’m bisexual, if that’s what you’re—”
“Oh, no.” Christopher shook his head, “I just meant, if you’re dating men, why aren’t you dating Dad?” Which simply did not help Buck’s choking problem.
Buck really, truly had never pictured Eddie’s son asking him these questions, specifically why he wasn’t dating Eddie.
“Uh— your Dad isn’t— we’re not—”
“Oh.” A pause.
“I don’t want you to date Dad.”

Denny had said that makes no sense because Ursa Major just sounds stupid, which is also true. But, astronomically, Chris was correct and therefore the winner. Buck left after he informed them there was, in fact, an Ursa Minor and an Ursa Major, so he doesn't know how it got worked out. As Buck pulled out his phone to put on music for the drive, there’d been a text Eddie sent three hours ago—right about the time he’d pulled out of his driveway.

Because he’d been under the assumption that Buck was leaving South Bedford and going back to the loft. He’d been none the wiser that Buck was actually headed across town to meet up with Jake, who he’d met on Grindr about six hours ago. Eddie surely would’ve had lots of thoughts and opinions about that.
But it’s okay, Buck only feels slightly guilty about not telling him about his extracurricular activities at the moment, because Eddie had decided to move to Texas and only told Buck when he’d caught him looking at houses. So the easy conversation and trust they’ve been cultivating for the last six years has been cracked open and replaced by half truths and white lies.

Buck doesn't do therapy in person. Buck doesn't talk about his 1.0 days. Buck doesn't talk about his past sex addiction. What happened was consensual, and his fault, and the team clearly agreed, because they had joked about it. It's fine. It doesn't bother him anymore.
The Los Angeles courts don't quite agree. When probationary firefighter Victor Santana of Station 153 presses charges against Dr. Wells, the team come to realize just how deeply she hurt Buck - and how much Buck hasn't been dealing with it.

Summary
A nervous heat rises to Buck’s cheeks, his heart rate spiking, because while it’s a shock to find out, seeing it also makes him feel… fluttery and fuzzy, a sensation coming up a lot when it comes to Eddie. So far, he’d always pushed it aside, dismissed it as something he knew it wasn’t. But it was undeniably there, after lingering touches or stolen glances, after watching him laugh and throw his head back like it wasn’t the most bewitching thing in the world.
“Holy shit,” he breathes, exasperated, falling against the backrest of the couch. The world around him rushes back into his perception, like he’s coming back up from underwater, exasperated and confused. He stares at the ceiling, phone in his limp hand, trying to process what he’s just witnessed himself do.

Eddie doesn’t seem the least bit phased, “Okay.”
It’s said in a way that makes Buck feel like he’s missing something here.
“Okay,” he repeats dumbly.
Because now that it’s an option he can’t stop thinking about it. A re-do of the bachelor party, dressed-up, drunk, and having fun with his favorite person. Maybe he should thank Tommy, actually?
