Summary
Taking place after the current arc in the manga is resolved, Kunikida has to come to terms with which Agency Member will have to inevitably join the Port Mafia. Spoilers: it's him.
Will he learn how to deal with going against his ideals on a daily basis? Will he be able to enact some sort of change to this organization to make it more tolerable for himself? Will he just give up and die? Only time can tell.

A changed Dazai has to deal with his partner being ripped from him, and thrown into a world that he was unfortunately once too familiar with. If you ask him, he doesn't think his partner is going to make it very long.

Summary
Dazai laughs, cold and hollow. “Oh? Too much for you to handle? Are you finally disillusioned with me? Have you finally given up trying to fix what will alway be broken?” He gives his door a half-hearted kick. This is it, this is the moment where he pushes Kunikida away for good.
Just walk away already.
“Dazai,” Kunikida says.
It’ll be better if you do. “What?”
“I’m sorry.”
“...What?”
Dazai has been pondering his changes in his personality and what having a more beautiful world really means since he left the port mafia all those years go. He's a man who is always destined to be alone since anything he wants to hold dear to him always ends up leaving him. That doesn't stop him from repeating his mistake however. Enter Kunikida Doppo, hard-core idealist and the main subject of Dazai's torment. A new mission involving an old college classmate of Kunikida's causes both of them to want more than what they are getting out of the partnership but both are afraid of what wanting that means. Dazai has spent years building his walls and Kunikida never takes risks without proper calculations. Can they resolve their feelings and solve the case, or will what took two years to build come crashing down?

ADA takes a vacation to a place that seems almost like a wormhole in time, separate, calm enough they all seem to have their walls drop. As Dazai warms up to his more relaxed partner he finds the guard he had kept up for longer than he could remember breaking down. For the first time in a long time he is allowed to explore the past in a place he feels safe enough to admit he still has feelings he has not processed from years before.
