Summary
Before Supergirl rose as the hero of National City, another hero decided to put on a mask and make the city a safer place, only to meet his end a few weeks later. Finding her friend dying in an alleyway, Lena finds out the shocking truth of her friend's after-hour activities, and as his dying wish, she takes up the mantle of the masked vigilante, promising to keep the city safe.
But, when Supergirl comes out of hiding and takes it upon herself to be the hero that National City needs, Lena finds herself with more enemies than she thought, and trying to keep the city safe is hard to do when you have an alien, backed by a secret government organisation, on your tail.

Henry is right, Regina thinks as she opens the door to let the whole round of Charmings inside, helps Emma and David put away the food and drinks they brought. Henry is right especially when Regina and Emma make eye contact and Emma has to smile and duck her head, when their talk is small but laden with all this care that Regina doesn’t know what to do with. Henry is right when all they can do is poke fun at each other like Emma didn’t just almost die in Regina’s arms a month ago and Regina didn’t just almost die trying to heal her.
Henry is right when all Regina is trying to do right now is suppress the old epiphany that she’s in love with Emma Swan.

This is based on this prompt. If you are looking for meta TV show fics I cannot recommend Send Up A Signal highly enough. If there’s anything in this that smacks of that, it’s unintentional but very possibly accidentally borrowed. I don't go into Henry being Emma's kid, it got a bit much to try and fit in.
