He had tried to purge the doubt from his mind—genuinely, desperately tried—but a millennia of abandonment and isolation couldn’t be scrubbed away in a few short months. No matter how many honeyed assurances were whispered into his ear by that static-laced, radio-filtered voice, the deep-seated fear remained. It was a phantom limb, aching with the memory of what it felt like to be cast down and forgotten.
Lucifer's struggle with accepting Alastor is essentially unresolvable and results in self-destruction, culminating in a promise made ten thousand feet in the air during a moment of passion. i.e., they have sex in the sky.

Summary
Lucifer goes out looking for Alastor in the hotel up in his radio tower in request of his daughter, but only finds his staff.
Curious, Lucifer goes and takes a look at it and nearly shits himself realizing that the microphone is alive.
After a quick, silent and rather one-sided conversation with the microphone, Lucifer swiftly turned to leave before the mic began to emit smooth jazz music, which piqued the fallen angel’s interest.
Picking up the fact that the microphone was suggesting him to sing, he told it to pick a song for him to sing and the song the microphone picked was, fortunately to the scepter, very familiar to Lucifer.
Impressed by the microphone’s taste in music, Lucifer decided to play along, singing as he strut around the Radio Demon’s tower, feeling as light as a feather as he enjoyed singing to himself and himself only.
But unfortunately for the King of Hell, he hadn’t realized that the whole time he was singing, the microphone was broadcasting his melodic vocals all throughout the Pride Ring.

(Just a slight trigger warning. Alastor is briefly a bit of an asshole to Lucifer but not out of hatred or wanting to trigger him, he’s more just misinformed and doesn’t know yet what’s going on. But he does come around and apologizes.)
