The sweaty hands, the urge to run his fingers through Reki’s snow-damp hair, the warm feeling spreading through his heart whenever Reki wears his scarf, and Langa can feel his heart stumbling in his chest because oh, he’s — he’s in trouble.

Summary
The snow is beginning to fall again, in slow drifts, and the flurries melt when they kiss the glass, and it’s magical in a way Reki never imagined anything could be. He glances over at Langa, whose face is close enough that Reki can see the faded scarring on his cheeks, his pale lips with the cupid’s bow in the center that Reki has wanted, for so long, to kiss.
Langa has always been beautiful, but he looks the most beautiful to Reki when he has that wonder in his eyes, usually at S, and occasionally in the dusky sunset at DopeSketch or on the half-pipe at the skatepark. The way he looks up at the mountains makes Reki’s throat go dry.
He wants Langa to look at him that way.

Summary
Reki's got big dreams. Going professional, scoring a date with the coolest girl. He's got a real good shot at one of those things, provided he breaks into a skateboarding competition and wins the whole thing but that's so obtainable! He manages to find a ride out to California (from his sworn enemy at that) and a coach! (Joe really just needed a ride too but.. Reki can pretend it's his story that's persuasive) Plus Langa is along for the ride! And Langa's super important. Reki's number one priority depending on how the list shuffles, most often in the direction of his best friend.
Langa... well, Langa is resigned to being "bro" for the rest of his life. After all, Reki's been obsessed with a girl the entire time they've known each other and Langa was pretty miserable just before that. Reki makes him happy. Langa wants Reki to be happy too. Even if that means he'll be stuck pining for infinity. He can totally handle it with grace. Totally...
The cross country road trip with four idiots will definitely be a breeze.
