Summary
Sunny trudges down the pathway of stairs, air hitching inside of his throat once he spots a shadowy figure standing at the bottom of the steps — a small, two-eyed silhouette that takes the form of a small being; one that, even in the deepest darkness, looks ambiguously similar to something he’s seen before. Sunny can’t exactly put his finger on it, but he knows that in the morning, he’ll know. He always does. But the eyes—the eyes are white; no pupils, no eyelids. It’s like a shadow with two lights as its vision.
The thing doesn’t hesitate to approach the boy. It’s immediate and quick, as if the figure’s sole purpose was looking for Sunny; its goal is to meet him, and by the looks of it, it’s not for a good reason.

After Sunny admits what he did to Mari, his used-to-be friends leave him; abandon him as if he were nothing.
And yet, in the quiet silence, there's someone there.

absolutely brilliant. the way this fic describes the intimacy of someone’s scent/presence. also the metaphors, similes, and descriptions utilized are so amazingly unique that it makes me want to cry. not to mention, the writing style is so lovely—packed with emotion and rawness—that it makes me wish i could write like this.

this is so epic!! every word, sentence, chapter is taking me through the immense joyful experience i had while reading fire in the mountains. i love the concept of shouto learning of a world outside what he's always known, forming friendships, falling in love, and creating a life he can call his own. i love the established bkdk/dkbk, i love the polyamory, i love shouto's dancing, i love every piece of dialogue the characters share, i love everything about this.
this fic is absolutely lovely, just 1000000/10. i wish i could leave 100000+ kudos

i love how all the androids (markus, north, etc) caught on to connor's feelings way before connor did lolol. the plot was brilliant and so funny at times. the way connor's systems blare with warnings when he feels a bubbly feeling in his chest, a bitter taste on his tongue, etc, not knowing what exactly he's feeling, and the process of connor navigating his emotions were the highlights of this fic!! i also didn't read the tags carefully and didn't expect the wire play but ended up LOVING it <3

holy fucking shit this was beautifully breathtaking and so bittersweet. the writing, the plot, and the integration of historical events are all absolutely divine. there’s something about time travel stories, or rather stories that deal with the concept of time (ex: frieren) that is heart wrenching in the best way possible.

the vulnerability deku feels, the idea of looking back at the past in how you were (physically, socially, mentally) and comparing yourself to then and now; along with that, there’s the idea of the new replacing the old in a sense and how that forces deku to feel worthless, or rather revert back into the mindset of before he got OFA.
damn. the world building was so rich. i loved the dynamic dkbk had here, not to mention the writing was exquisite.

oh my god take my money take my heart everything is yours.
this is TRUE enemies to lovers, none of that flimsy stuff you see nowadays where person A was actually secretly in love with person B the whole time, etc. this was actual peak: princes from rival kingdoms, torn apart from misunderstandings, hurt, and guilt, learning to care and love each other. i have major heart eyes for this.
the author conveyed katsuki’s anger and pain over the death of his siblings and his situation perfectly. i also liked the transition in where at the beginning katsuki is lost and miserable by being forced in a location, stripped of his titles and duties and at the end, he has grown into his power, has izuku (the future emperor) in the palm of his hand essentially (and who also is majority down for him), and reignites his passion with fighting (the butcher is such an iconic name).
also the dialogue and dynamic between izuku and katsuki was just SO GOOD. just so electrifying that i could TASTE it (hypothetically of course). the tension they had between them at first + their disagreements = everything i’ve ever dreamed of. i also liked (really LOVED) how the author incorporated events/names/places from the manga LOLOLOL!!!
this was like a cookie in a sense: wrapped up like in a present, delicious, exhilarating with every bite.
i’ll definitely leave a comment expressing my admiration when i find time T_T
