And Megumi looks up, determination set on his face as he nods fiercely, and a chill runs down Toji's spine. It's so eerily familiar just as much as it's unfamiliar, that determination, used in different settings. Toji had that determination whenever he took on a new assassination job, his wife had that determination when she proudly stated that she wanted to have a child with Toji, and now Megumi had that determination, that drive to prove his worth to somebody, anybody.
And maybe it was just a nod, nothing more, nothing less, or perhaps, it was a Megumi thing.
Or, a look into the five-years Toji spent with his son before Gojo took him and Tsumiki in.

Ajax had just floated, for Celestia knows how long, till he'd felt nothing but the barren and lifeless ground of Khaenri'ah beneath his feet. Ajax was nothing, yet he still managed to be the Tsaritsa's masterpiece, a work of art, refined and polished, never to be tainted by the blood of the unworthy. And it was all because of those murky waters that plagued his dreams.
Maybe that's what caused him to sit up in bed one night, gasping for air he didn't need, hands reaching for something to grab onto and stop his descent. But, he thinks, you've already suffered. You've already drowned. Yet, you deserve more of it. And as his vision was spotted, all he could think about is the pitiful expressions of those he killed, the undecipherable whines of hilichurls as he slammed his daggers through their chests, because those had once been people who are now cursed to roam these lands, born only to be killed and experimented on. And Ajax knew that better than anyone else.

Yumeno's eyes are soft as they work on one last flower crown, tying the stems together at a slower pace than before as a yawn sneaks past their lips. "Y'know, I wouldn't mind making flower crowns for you guys if you asked. I'm sure I could figure out a way to wrap one around Mr. Chuuya's hat without it falling off..." Yumeno had barely gotten to finish the flower crown before they slumped against Chuuya's arm, eyes slipping shut as the crown fell into their lap. Elise pursed her lips at the sight before standing up, grabbing a blanket and draping it over the child's lap. She also grabbed the crown, making sure not to damage it as she rested it on Yumeno's head.
"Gosh, they're cheesy." She whispers, but her voice is laced with kindness as she crawls next to them, lowering the volume on the tv and drifting off to sleep herself.
Chuuya agrees, but he isn't sure he'd have it any other way.

But, he was enjoying himself around the other children, even if the numbers of them dwindled every week. Keigo shouldn't be losing friends, gaining injuries like they're the shiny pebbles he has tucked beneath his pillow. She sighed, the sound bubbling in her chest. Her smile grew as she stared at the exhausted little boy. "Goodnight Keigo." She whispered before the lights went out.

But before he could get a reaction, the person behind him was ripped away, leaving Touya to collapse onto the ground. He took in a deep breath before standing, his hands trembling as he looked behind him. Touya felt a gasp pull from his throat as he saw the Spider-Man, wrapping up his assailant in his webs. Noticing that Touya was up again, he jogged over, resting a firm hand on his shoulder.
"Are you alright? Got any injuries? Must've been pretty scary, huh?" Spider-Man asked, concern dripping from his tone. Despite the situation, Touya couldn't help the blush on his cheek as he stared at the masked man in front of him. The other's hand on his shoulder was warm despite the suit, a thumb rubbing absentmindedly over his collarbone.
"Y-Yeah I'm good." He forced himself to stutter out, awe dripping from his tone. He glanced over to the man, groaning as he was webbed to the wall, his head hanging limply against his chest.

Of course, Touya has always found his boyfriend's constant need for cleanliness odd due to all the times he's seen the man carelessly lay around his feathers but he couldn't say he didn't like it. Well, most of the time. Sure, it got annoying when Keigo missed movie nights because he was washing the dishes, or doing the laundry, or preparing lunch for tomorrow and then proceeded to pass out from exhaustion but he couldn't stay mad.

Gorou was not a fan of being treated like a dog. Any comments to the more animalistic traits he has would get the young general fuming. It made his cheeks heat up in embarrassment, whenever his tail or ears were even mentioned he felt...inferior. Like he wasn't worthy of his position in the army just because of his physical attributes. Everyone knows this, it was a strict rule if you even dared to go near him. Talk about the dog features, don't expect much kindness in return.
Now, don't get him wrong, even if he does enjoy the physical affection it still feels inhumane. He likes the claps on the shoulders and the back pats when he does well, those are things he enjoys, encourages even. And the few times Kokomi had granted him a hug was nice, whether it be the fact it was Kokomi or the affection he did not know.
But apparently, Arataki Itto was unaware of this unspoken rule and one of the first things he had done to greet Gorou was a well-meant rub between his ears.

The ginger moved to stand, the tension getting to him, but paused when Dazai's hand wrapped around his forearm.
"Stay," He croaked, and in a moment of vulnerability he whispered out three words he'd never said before. "I need you."
Blue eyes widened and Chuuya sucked in a breath. The brunette watched his shoulders tremble and his chest heave slightly.
"Alright."
Chuuya had always cracked under Dazai's gaze. He was nothing but a dog to Dazai, a source of comfort, but he couldn't find it in himself to be offended.

Yet Dazai allowed him to do as he pleased. Dazai was different. He cared. He loved. And that's why Chuuya would melt under Dazai's touch, he would spill any secret, he would cry so many tears, and he would complain as much as he pleased. Chuuya did not follow rules when it came to Dazai. Dazai did not follow rules when it came to Chuuya either. That's how it worked and he didn't wish for a change. He liked the carefree lifestyle that he had around Dazai, he wouldn't replace it for the world.
Dazai placed the steaming cups of tea on the coffee table, taking back his spot on the couch. Chuuya grabbed a cup with shaky hands, ignoring the slight burn in his palms as he held it up to his lips and took a tentative sip. When cautious, the liquid did not burn as much. Dazai grabbed his own cup along with the tv remote as Chuuya slid closer to him, silently finding his spot tucked against his side.
Dazai gave him a smile before turning on the tv and as the crappy thing flickered to life he felt content for the first time in a while.

Dazai smiled at him, he seemed upset and Chuuya knew it was his doing. He let go, warmth following him and Chuuya felt cold. Like his fingertips had been dipped in ice. "I'll see you soon," Dazai whispered before letting go and Chuuya knew it was all a trick when he saw Dazai walk with ease, not even a limp in his step.
The front door closed and Chuuya's hands drifted up to his lips, ghosting over the pink skin as he collapsed into the chair Dazai had previously sat in.
He wanted to call out to the other. He had a dreadful feeling, like that was the last time he was to see Dazai. Or at least he wouldn't be seeing him for a while.

The knight's body was disregarded and Ajax did not care for its whereabouts. Crimson stained his clothes, and his hands, and his face, and even a bit of his hair but he could care less. Blood spurted from Kaeya's severed head, spraying across Ajax's clothes. He smiled, his pearly teeth looking animalistic.
Ajax did not pay attention to the horrified and nauseated stares he was getting for all he could care for was Kaeya.
