Who does that?!
Maybe he was trying to provoke a qi deviation.
If so, Nie Mingjue thought darkly, he was doing a very good job.

His sister laughs, and he glares, and then she clears her throat and stops laughing, but still has a small, indulgent smile. "Of course, A-Cheng," she says. "And what's this little boy's name?"
"Wei Ying," he says, and his sister's smile freezes. "His name is Wei Ying, and his parents are Zangse Sanren and Wei Changze, and something bad has happened to them. Wei Ying is alone in Yiling and he needs help," he insists.
Jiang Cheng starts again from the beginning.

Summary
“Fucking hypocrites,” Nie Mingjue mutters under his breath because he just knows that depending on what he will find inside the other Sects are going to fight over the right to get something out of it as well.
Despite the way he is disgusted with is fellow Sect Leaders Nie Mingjue doesn’t let it distract him from his mission. He has absolutely no clue what he’s going to find inside of the room; it could be a well-guarded treasury, it could contain cursed items or it could indeed be a prison for someone or something.
It’s best to stay on his guard until he has a better understanding of what’s going on, and so he reaches out with Baxia first when he arrives at the door. For all the protective magic around this room it doesn’t seem as if there are any wards that are supposed to keep him out.
Great. That probably means this room is supposed to keep something inside.

“A-Su! What happened? Are you alright?”
“A-Yao, we can’t. We can’t get married,” says Qin Su.
“What do you mean?” he asks, horrified. “We’ve already – did my father say something? But you…” Jin Guangyao isn’t stupid, he knows better than most how fickle alphas could sometimes be, but Qin Su had… she had seemed to genuinely love him. And he loves her.
(At least he hadn’t told her that he had gotten pregnant, from their time together. He could end the pregnancy, and no one ever had to know.)
Or: In an A/B/O universe where Meng Yao is an Omega, he's the one who ends up pregnant, and Qin Su is too good to actually marry him knowing what she does. This will save them all.
