“Woah, hey, woah!” the guy blurts, raising his hands. “Don’t shoot!” He has dark skin and brown hair, wet with sweat and starting to curl at the edges. He’s clean-shaven too, like he takes pride in his appearance even in the middle of an apocalypse. Not that he doesn’t have reason to, of course. He’s undeniably attractive. Even his voice has a certain enticing quality about it.
“You infected?”
“Does it look like I have mushrooms growing out of my head?”
Keith was prepared for the apocalypse. Not so much for everything that came after it.

Summary
Lance has chosen to live amongst the creatures that humans fear since he was young. He's learned that his own kind are the real monsters. But, when a human hating werewolf that needs specific medical aid shows up on his property, Lance has to prove he's an exception to the rule in order to help him.

“Easy.” Lance spoke softly as he inched his body closer. The wolf weakly squeezed in response, a feeble smile on his lips. “I don't make promises I can't keep.” The black haired creature watched him through half lidded eyes. He was getting tired himself and let his cheek rest on the mattress. “Know that I promise to do everything in my power to take care of you. All right?” He brought his gaze up and hoped he was making eye contact through the wolf's bangs. “You don't have to struggle anymore. You're safe; they're safe. It's okay.”
Maybe it was the fever, because there were no alarm bells. No red flags. Nothing to indicate this human was a threat - something to fear and defend against. The wolf's instincts had been assuaged as he settled into the notion that he was protected and provided for here. In fact, the way he was being consoled made him feel like a pup being cared for by his mother.

Summary
What are the chances that Lance and Keith would encounter a group of alien vampires on a planet they're stranded on, while Keith is actively dying, they have no other means of obtaining help, and Lance would be willing to quite literally sell his soul to protect him?
Pretty good, apparently.-
Or, that time Lance had Keith turned into a vampire without his permission and Keith was really pissed off that Lance 'saved his life' (or whatever). Until he wasn't.
