Kuvira isn't having the best day. She's been trudging through mud up to the Beifong mansion, soaked to the skin, and is stuck getting "lessons in propriety" from a certain Suyin Beifong. Oh well. It's better than what she's used to, at least.
Opal, for one, is tired of being left behind. Her mother dotes on her like a little girl and the rest of her family is off doing goodness knows what. She's been looking for a way to escape and live how she wants.

Amaya is gay.
It’s not something that she’s realizing now, clearly, but it’s definitely something that, at times, hits her like a rock.
Although, what she’s witnessed a gloomy afternoon of three weeks ago has hit her like a fucking avalanche.
When Sarai had been alive, Amaya had had to suffer through the stupid amount of jokes that her sister would crack every single time Amaya was to see a pretty girl.
Amaya had always had the habit of halting whatever she was doing in order to, to put it mildly, stare like an idiot.
The years without her sister have not changed that.
The only thing that is changed, now, is the person cracking the jokes.
And after what has happened three weeks ago, Gren won’t fucking stop.

The outlaw took a long, deep drink of his whiskey, tilting his head back as he emptied the last of it.
“You’re in luck,” he said, setting his glass down on the counter with a steady thunk. “My ranch ain’t much, but it’s more work than I’ve been feeling like doin’, lately. I could use a hand.”

Welcome to East Point, Ontario, a small city primarily known for its excellent performing arts high school. Zuko and Azula Chen, the children of the artistic director, have been the staples of the Academy's ballet program for years, and are set to graduate this spring. However, three weeks from the final performance, Azula mysteriously disappears, leaving Zuko with two tasks: finding her, and learning to dance with an entirely new partner.
A lot of emphasis on Zuko and Katara becoming friends, so if you're only here for the romance, I hope you're still interested!

an ATLA modern AU where everyone is a huge nerd, about the friendships and relationships that form between the gaang and the fire nation gang, who are originally Science Bowl archrivals.
a long walk across a bunch of different genres, characters, pairings, and themes. mostly about growing up smart and neurotic and traumatized, plus also falling in love across class differences. hopefully characterization is pretty close to canon even if we are far afield events-wise at this point.
SPOLIERS: endgame couples are sokka/zuko, suki/mai, and aang/katara.
