The last rises unbidden from the back of his mind, and he growls inadvertently.
Katara takes a step back.
“Ok,” she says. “Do you have a nest yet?”
He does. He’s been surreptitiously building it since yesterday. Since he woke up with that persistent itch.

Summary
It’s Zuko’s second Camp Boomerang summer, and as the camp fills with kids again it feels more like home than anywhere has in a very long time.
Sokka braces for a summer season that doesn’t quite feel right. It’ll be Katara’s last summer before going to med school, and she’s spending half of it at an internship. Camp feels…off this year. And Zuko doesn’t need anywhere near the same amount of help he did last summer and…Sokka has no idea what to do with himself.
Azula takes a summer job at the camp, filling in for Zuko in the kitchen with Aunt Wu, as a way to fill the weeks before starting law school. She signs up for a summer job and ends up getting a great deal more than she bargained for.

Summary
It wasn’t a true peace agreement, but it was a ceasefire. An agreement to keep to their own for a period of seven years.
But to ensure the temporary peace, to ensure that neither side went back on their word…the Fire Nation demanded an exchange of high-value prisoners.
“Wards,” Bato reminded him. “That character means ‘ward’. ‘Ward of the crown’.”
The semantics made no difference to Hakoda. It still meant his son would spend his next seven years in the Fire Nation.
OR
A treaty between the Fire Nation and the Southern Water Tribe sends Sokka to Caldera and Azula to Wolf Cove, where they grow up as wards. Culture shock and chaos ensues, but the peace agreement holds.
Until an Agni Kai and an Avatar throw everything into jeopardy.

Summary
In hindsight, he couldn’t have said when or how he decided to do it. It was less of a decision and more of an instinct. Less choice than inevitability.
All he knew was the moment Katara’s mouth tipped up toward his, he captured it with his own.

Summary
Aang is dead. Ozai and his airship fleet have demolished Ba Sing Se. The White Lotus is defeated and in full retreat. Katara and Zuko are missing.
And Sokka is badly injured and Suki is barely clinging to life.
The rebellion begins to regroup at the Northern Air Temple, and Sokka has to rebuild his entire life (his body, his hope, his future…) from the ground up.

Summary
A collection of my Zutara fics that are, in my head, the same Zuko and Katara at different points in their story.
“Cricket Cranes” is loosely a reference to the classic Japanese folk tale, “the crane wife” (see part 2 chapter 6 for details) and to the folk/rock band of nearly the same name. All these fics pull their titles from The Crane Wives lyrics because of who I am as a human.

Sokka is never getting out of this backwards, nowhere town.
The one thing he has to look forward to are his secret meetings with Zuko, the ones he has kept entirely a secret from everyone (well, except for Katara.) Other than that, life is boring, plain, simple.
That is, until Zuko shows up on Sokka's doorstep, beaten and bloody, with nowhere else to go.
Modern AU where Zuko is the son of the local southern Baptist pastor, and gets caught being romantically involved with Sokka

Summary
The first time that Sokka sees his childhood nemesis after ten years of blissful separation, he makes out with him in front of his homophobic family. Zuko's proposal- that they fake a relationship for a summer of public events on Sokka's home island to mess with his father and grandfather- is absolutely ludicrous, and it definitely won't work. Not only is Sokka straight, but he and Zuko have hated each other for as long as he can remember.
Then Sokka realizes he can use it to his own advantage as well. It's just for the summer, right?
Zukka fake dating modern AU with a heavy sprinkle of trauma and healing!

Summary
It's been five years since the end of the war, and marriage is the word on everyone's minds. But Katara knows what that really means. First comes marriage, and then children.
