Summary
Remus has endured three years of his behavior. He’d be willing to accept it, deal with it, make peace with the idea of Sirius as a town asshole. Every town has one - they ride loud motorcycles in the middle of the night and spend one too many hours at the town's dive bar.
But Sirius isn’t an asshole, at least to anyone who isn’t named Remus. Sirius holds doors open for little old ladies, he volunteers at local organizations, he mows and rakes and weeds people's yards out of the goodness of his heart. He lives and bleeds for the town of Godric’s Hollow - knows everyone and their children by name and greets them as if they’ve been best friends for years.
Remus would call it performative if he hadn’t been witness to it many times, Sirius Black and his charm and his inability to resist helping someone.
The dick.

Summary
“Harry!” He looked back to see his mentor’s face, pale underneath the streaks of blood and ash that covered it. His golden eyes were wide as they locked on Harry, seeming almost nervous.
“There’s no time!” Draco called out, grabbing his hand and pulling Harry towards the massive turner that would take them (hopefully) back twenty years into the past.
“Forgive us!” Remus called, raising his voice now over the building hum of the time turner, carrying a note of desperation. “He always meant to tell you. But then he was gone and it didn’t seem my place.”
“What–” Harry began, but then the power of the turner coursed through him, through his arm where Draco held him and he felt himself get dragged backwards into the vortex. The last thing he saw before his world went dark was the pleading in Remus’ eyes.
“Forgive us.”
Or: Harry and Draco travel back in time to defeat Voldemort and find that nearly everything they knew about the past (and present) is built on lies.

Draco doesn’t consider himself an artist (though the dozens of sketchbooks lining his shelves might suggest differently). Yet ever since Potter returned to Hogwarts, accepting a teaching position alongside Draco, his drawings have taken on a rather singular focus. From the curl of his lips to the exact number of lines that form at the corners of his eyes when he laughs, Draco has catalogued every shade of one Harry James Potter between the pages of his sketchbook. Seven years for Sirius to finally admit to himself that what he wants is not only to be loved, but to be known entirely. And therein lies the difficulty.

He’s qualified, he’s already progressing his career, has a great set of friends, and is building a solid reputation as one of London’s best young doctors. He hasn’t spoken to Sirius since his older brother ran away over seven years ago and he doesn’t care, because he doesn’t speak to any of his family anymore and after all, Sirius was the one who left him behind.
And then James Potter walks in to the ward one day to give his mother some lunch, claiming that all hospital food is an abomination, and everything comfortable in Regulus’ life comes crashing down.

Summary
Soap paused, picking up the pen. He looked over his list. Three columns, “yes”, “no”, and “maybe”. He pulled the paper close. Hesitating, he underlined a single item, then crossed out the rest of them one by one. When he finished, he looked back at Ghost, as if daring him to say something about it. When Ghost didn’t, Soap pushed the paper over, crossing his arms over his chest.
Underlined was “kneeling” under “yes”, the only thing left on the page. It didn’t matter what the other “yes” items had been, they were very clearly in the “no” column now.
Ghost forced himself not to feel frustrated, had to admit to himself that Soap might be the most challenging sub he had ever had assigned into one of his units.

When Remus Lupin met Sirius Black for the first time, he very nearly killed him. Now, it wasn’t entirely his fault, something he would maintain for the rest of his life, and Sirius being as dramatic as he was would often remind the taller, tawny-haired man of his very harrowing near-death experience at the front bumper of his car.
The truth of it was, Sirius Black was perched on the kerb wearing a bowler hat, poufy shirt-sleeves, a vest, a monocle which actually worked and was the reason his vision was blurred in the one eye, skin-tight leather trousers, and he had a skateboard under his arm. Remus Lupin was behind the wheel of his car which was held together by prayer and twist-ties, and was cruising along at a reasonable speed considering London traffic, when the strange steampunk-themed man dropped the skateboard to the pavement and rolled into traffic.
