Summary
“What’s wrong?” George asks, eyebrows drawn together. He puts a hand on Dream’s face, cold and grounding, and Dream doesn’t have the self-restraint to stop himself from leaning into the touch.
“Feel bad,” Dream manages. He blinks again, horrified to find tears gathering at his waterline. “Too hot.”
“Yeah,” George agrees, eyes deep with concern. He brushes a thumb over Dream’s cheek, and the tears spill down his face like an egg yolk escaping from its shell. Dream’s breath hitches, chest trembling with emotion and fatigue and a million other things, unable to bear the anxiety in George’s face. Without even meaning to, he crumbles forward, collapsing straight into George’s lap.
Suffering from heat exhaustion, Dream confesses to George.

Summary
“Are you sure he’s fine?” George asks. He doesn’t turn around, unable to tear his eyes away, but he knows Dream’s mom is still standing in the doorway.
“Honey,” she says softly, “he’s comfortable, I promise. And completely knocked out.”
George’s eyes sting and his throat aches. He tugs at the sleeves of his hoodie, pulling them down over his hands and resisting the urge to reach out and touch Dream. “But, um—” George bites his lip, feeling guiltier each time he doubts the knowledge of Dream’s mother—an experienced nurse. He exhales shakily and turns to look at her. “But he’s—he’s frowning. What if he’s in pain? What if the medication isn’t working and—?”
[Or, Dream is recovering from surgery and George won't leave his side.

Summary
“Dream, I probably would've slept with you.”
His head snaps around and Dream stares at him, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. It would be far more amusing if the admission didn't somewhat make his stomach churn.
In fairness, he fully said it for shock value. The reaction is just what he'd aimed for, and he revels in that. It's still a little embarrassing to say out loud.
He laughs lightly and reaches out to touch knuckles to Dream's cheek. His skin is hot under his touch. “You're all red.”
Dream swats his hand away and bows his head as though it could hide his flush from view.
“Yeah, well, you can't just say things like that and...”
“You always say things like that to me,” George argues.

or: Dream and George have been teasing each other a little too much with flirty remarks and sexual comments, so everything comes to a head during New Year's Eve, and George can't seem to keep his eyes off of Dream's hands.

Summary
Dream had always been told he loved too much. An ex-girlfriend had once expressed that she wasn’t sure how to properly reciprocate his love in a way that felt equal, which ended up being part of the downfall of their relationship. Dream was determined as hell to not mess up with George. Even if they weren’t dating necessarily, he knew he needed to reel in his possessiveness and overwhelming amounts of love– as much as he struggled to do that over the years.

Summary
The picture is a little blurred from being taken with an extreme zoom, but it somehow managed to perfectly capture just enough of Dream’s face for him to be unmistakable.
George’s back is to the camera, which is the biggest relief, his face hidden safely from view where it was buried in the material of Dream’s hoodie. It’s impossible to make out any finer details, but what’s undeniable is that Dream has someone with dark hair and a smaller frame in his arms, wrapped in a tight embrace that certainly looks—well, even Dream has to admit it looks intimate. It could be worse, but he certainly understands why the image has apparently sent his fanbase into hysterics.

“Stop being jealous, you small idiot,” he teases back. “Anyways, they’re going out of town for a business trip ‘cause they work together, and they can’t take Lucy,” he rambles at a pace that only George is used to.

Someone clears their throat and Dream looks up to see Hannah standing in front of them, eyeing George warily and holding out a glass of water. “Here,” she says quietly. “Figured he needed this.”
