The girl was on her stomach, limp on the ground, limbs sprawled, trench-coat and scarf collecting grime as they soaked in puddles. Gwen drew back a lock of her blonde hair to check her pulse. She had no physical injuries, but her form was still and freezing. She lowered her head at the lack of a heartbeat.
She began to scoop up the body, checking for any causes of death. She wanted, wished, to find something to prove this girl hadn’t been caught up in this mess. Something that meant she hadn’t taken the life of an innocent bystander she hadn't even noticed.
Instead, Gwen turned the girl's cheek, and stared straight into her own face.
“What the fuck?”
Or, an alternate Spider-Gwen (from a spooky zombie universe I crafted myself) winds up in Earth 616. While she attempts to seek out answers, and her old universe begins seeping into her new one, Peter Parker thought he left the multiverse in the past with his spell, spending his days toiling away at his freshman year of college. What happens when he spots a new spider swinging around his side of the city?
