Summary

Summary
The White Walkers have won. All hope is lost. The gods decided to grant a second chance by sending Jon back in time before all hell breaks loose in season one. Jon decides to go to Pentos to find his true love, Daenerys Targaryen, and save her from her marriage to Khal Drogo, who wanted to rape her. The main plot is Jon reclaiming the Iron Throne with Daenerys and uniting the Seven Kingdoms for the impending return of the Long Night. Yet consequences made from changing time’s past cause new threats to arise.

Nicolò.
Yusuf swallowed. The name felt heavy on his tongue, and his heart skipped a beat.
“Ah,” Yusuf’s baba said solemnly. “I think it is safe to assume that your worst enemy goes by the name of Nicolò. I will pray to Allah that he may merely be someone you meet on a trade trip across the sea, and that this name does not forebode anything more sinister.”
Yusuf nodded, and he let his baba turn over his right arm carefully towards the light, so they could read the name written there.
“Now, my son,” Yusuf’s baba said in a joyful tone, “let us see if we know your beautiful soulmate already, or if you will have to be patient a little longer.”
The rosy light of dawn crept through the windows, and neither his baba nor Yusuf had any trouble reading his Mark. For on Yusuf’s right arm, in the same bold black letters, stood the name again.

A dam bursts inside Nicky, and he is so swept away in the tide of his relief he admits everything. “I meant it,” he says. “Of course I meant it, I’ve fallen in love with you. Let me keep you. Let me stay with you. Marry me, Joe.”
“I thought I would spend my nights in darkness,” Joe tells him, and Nicky knows this about him, too, that he will not give a straight answer when a poem would do. “I thought I’d live on a pale shadow of what you’ve made me feel. But you – your smile could light up the darkest night, Nicolò. Your heart is so sweet, my love, you’ve captured mine so easily. I’ll stay with you for as long as you’ll have me.”
Nicky would blame the wine, he would blame the summer breeze, the beautiful view, temporary insanity, anything, but it would be a lie and he’s an honest man. If he’s drunk on anything, it’s Joe. If anything makes him shiver, it’s Joe. If there is any beautiful view, it’s Joe’s eyes, bright with tears and smiling at him. If he’s insane, it’s only love.

Hot when he stumbles out of his room with bed mussed hair, when he's coming back from the shower glistening in a low slung towel, when he's cooking and nodding along to music in their kitchen. Nicky is dying and spends a lot of time hissing into the phone about it in Italian.
Joe is just trying to get through the last year of his masters and, while admittedly he's been having a little fun with it, knows it's probably time to try and weave the fact that he speaks Italian into a conversation with his hot house mate.

Summary
They collapse on the bed after, panting and facing each other, legs tangling. Nicky reaches up to gently push a sweaty curl off Joe’s forehead, thumb sliding down to sweep across his cheekbone.
The tenderness of it brings a lump to Joe’s throat. He knows he shouldn’t push this but he can’t help it: he slides an arm around Nicky’s waist and pulls him a little closer to kiss him, much softer but somehow more desperate than the ones they’ve just shared.
Nicky pulls back first, but doesn’t go far, resting their foreheads together. They share breath, and Joe thinks about saying it then, just to alleviate some of the ache in his chest. ‘I love you’ he wants to say. Or even just, ‘Stay for a little longer this time.’
Or: The friends with benefits AU but they're immortal idiots so it's lasted centuries.
