He pictured how his life could turn out, taking care of Alex in between missions, jetting all over the world to track down the bastards who orphaned his nephew, and-

That seemed like a far better way to honour his dead brother’s memory.

Ian glanced over at Jones, knew that she knew what he was thinking by the slight upward curl of her lips, smiled, then turned back to Blunt and stared him straight in the eye.
“I quit”.Or, the one where Ian tells Blunt to go fuck himself, Alex is unwillingly drawn into the spy world at fourteen anyway, and Yassen finds a certain over-protective rampaging on-the-warpath uncle very attractive indeed.

Summary
Campbell Bain is sick of school---Sick of school, sick of lunchtime detentions and sick of being called to the headmaster's office. Inevitably, his patience runs thin, resulting in him storming out of school and going AWOL.
---What follows is a downward spiral, as his walls shatter and his desire to feel normal takes over. (Involves: the murder of several innocent posters, a lot of alcohol, and Campbell's struggling relationship with both of his parents.)
