But even with that, the group seemed to be grateful even for that, since all of them had little knowledge about the Addams. It was a great opportunity to get to know better... their friend.
"No." It was all she got from Wednesday, who didn't even look at her. She liked the so-called 'truth' as no one could tell if she was lying or not, so she could make up answers to every question based on what she wanted others to know about her.
"But what about these on your thighs - Oh." Enid finally understood why her girlfriend wanted to die so much, when she facepalmed herself.
She was blushing furiously and somehow, Wednesday was blushing too.

Obviously, the first had to be Karl - he complained about how Alcina didn't let you drive him home. But you waved him off - you knew he didn't like her at all. The second was Miranda - still obvious. She said something about how you didn't make any decision in your household but you only smiled awkwardly and said that Alcina was an accountant, she knew better than you or even Miranda herself. Even Donna brought up how Alcina usually looked disappointed by your choice of clothes to their tea party, so you you began to wonder if there really was something wrong. But when your own daughters suggested that Alcina shouldn't talk to you like that, you gave in. You have gotten into a fight with your wife - because she treated you badly.

Shadowheart is a creative writing major who has only one friend and likes it that way. She doesn't mind focusing on her writing and being the best in her program. And this semester, getting the top score in her 12 person screenwriting seminar will mean a spot working under her idol. Unfortunately, the only person in her major who rivals her skill at writing also happens to be in this class. Lae'zel.
Aka: a modern au university fic about learning to open up, and to love and be loved, in which Shadowheart and Lae'zel are lowkey rivals, but the universe or fate or something (me) shoves them together and everything changes!

After a particularly perilous fight that leaves Shadowheart far too close to death for comfort, she comes to a decision.
An idiotic, unthinkably painful decision, but a path forward, nonetheless.
She needs to become better at physical combat, fast.
And, fortunately or unfortunately, she has recently made a tentative 'truce' with an obnoxious yet admittedly adept Gith Warrior who for some ungodly reason seems to always erect her tent right across from her own.
Well. Let's see if Githyanki can be trusted on their word. Or, even better...coerced into a mutually beneficial arrangement. She's certain there's something she could offer the Gith. Twist to her advantage. If this could also make Lae'zel more bearable, all the better for her.
Lady of Sorrows guide her. How badly could this go?

Summary
The continued post-game adventures of Shadowzel!
Lae'zel and Shadowheart have fought monsters, gods, and each other... but nothing could prepare them for falling in love. Finally settling down to marry and raise the mysterious egg they picked up in their journeys, their hard-won peace is shattered when the Sharrans emerge on the scene again, convinced Shadowheart holds the key to a prophesy that could destroy Shar herself. Now the two women (with the help of the rest of the tadpole crew) must fight to protect their family, their home, and the life they've built before the shadows close in.
Notes:
1. Shadowheart's parents are alive and she still copes with the incurable wound because of it.
2. Just in case it makes a difference, I am a Lae'zel's taller than Shadowheart truther.
