Days left before Christmas: 10
Daily shots of espresso consumed: also 10 (down from 12, a marked improvement and all thanks to a certain someone with too-kind eyes to temper his penchant for nagging)
Liters of water per day: nowhere close to 3, but Hyunjin’s trying his best
Flour in his diet: none (success!)
His crush on Kim Seungmin: raging, and it’s only getting worse

Summary
'It's been six months,' he'd say if he knew just how pathetic Hyunjin's been every day since. 'All you have to do is pick up a phone and text me. Send an email. We could probably even facetime if you want.' And then he'd laugh and shake his head, all fond and warm and beautiful, and Hyunjin's chest would rip open again to spill his messy guts across the floor.

Summary
“Hyunjin? Are you ok?” Seungmin asked, waving a hand in front of Hyunjin’s dazed eyes.
Hyunjin gulped on instinct. He's so beautiful. How did he not notice before?
“I-it's 24 hours,” Hyunjin choked past the lump in his throat. “And I didn't fall in love.”
Are you sure about that?
Hyunjin made the journey to Prophe-Seungs fully expecting to get his money back, and leave. Make five-minute pleasantries with Seungmin, and then push through the carved wooden door with his well earned five dollars back in his wallet, where it belongs. Never to return.
He was wrong. He was living a 24 hour lie, but everything has become clear as the mental fog within faded, now replaced with the dissipating smog of freshly lit incense.
Hyunjin doesn't want a refund.
He wants Seungmin.
Inspired by the prompt: “you’re a fortune teller and you predict that i’ll fall in love with someone within 24 hours. i dont, so i come back 24 hours later to demand a refund and whoa how come i didnt notice that you’re gorgeous??”

Summary
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
We all learned that from an early age, and so did Hyunjin. And, over the years he had mastered the art of making lemonade. But the thing was- he didn't like the sour taste of the lemon, nor the sweet & tangy flavor of lemonade. So, no matter how much lemonade Hyunjin was forced to make over the years after meeting Kim Seungmin, it always left a bitter taste in his mouth & big invisible burns all over his pride & ego.
No wonder Hwang Hyunjin hated Kim Seungmin.
or,
5 times Hyunjin thought he had been the only one in love, 1 time Seungmin proved him wrong.

Summary
hyunjin has been living in a constant state of dullness since the beginning– a grueling monochromatic scheme stretches vast before his eyes. everything his eyes cast on is black, white, or the neverending grayish shades in between the two. He never experienced colors nor even knew what they meant, like an untouched canvas.
that is, until a familiar man with familiar ways painted his life with unfamiliar colors under unfamiliar circumstances.

Summary
Chan says, “Hyunjin, I’ve volunteered to mentor a friend of a friend who’s been recently turned so you’ll be seeing him around the apartment a lot over the next few months. I hope that’s okay?”
Which, of course it’s okay. Hyunjin doesn’t mind. Hyunjin tells his roommate as much. “It’s not a problem, hyung.”
And then it becomes a problem. Because that newly-turned vampire that Chan is referring to, the one who is currently sitting in the living room and sipping on a blood pouch from a purple bendy straw? It’s Hyunjin’s former schoolmate and long-time unrequited crush, Rank #1, Class 4’s Kim Seungmin.
“Fuck.”

Summary
"I mean," Hyunjin pauses, looking at him up and down. "Look at you. Innocent eyes. Dumpling cheeks. Adorable serious expression. I don’t think the audience would take you seriously even if you make an angry face. You're too cute for a villain role."
Seungmin freezes, blinking his eyes a few times, staring at the guy in half disbelief of what he just heard. There’s a silence before he finally finds his voice. "...what?"
"I said, you're too cute. You’ve always been cute."
