Summary
The arrival at Erid is a momentous occasion. Rocky is excited and thrilled. Ryland is overwhelmed. But the reunion is happy, beautiful, amazing.
Or that's what it should have been. Except Rocky gets hurt, Ryland is left to try and communicate with an alien planet, and everyone is scrambling to figure out how to do this. To Grace, this is incredible but also bittersweet - he got Rocky home safely with the taumoeba, now he just gets... to starve. To Erid, this is insane - how did Rocky show up in an alien spaceship with a child???

Ryland Grace is stuck trying to speak Eridian, immediately makes himself sound like a child, and Rocky's world and family scramble to help this strange pebble. Misunderstandings galore, alongside hurt/comfort and angst and fluff.

They must have been in here a while, staring-watching him.

And Court goes under.
(Courtland Gentry starts hallucinating two men who look exactly the same, and tell him the worlds going to end in twenty years. To bad for the world, because Courts life already ended about twenty minutes before they showed up.)

Summary
After her many years in space, the Hail Mary has finally made it to Erid. But her passengers still have a long road ahead of them.
Grace, at death's door, has to go back into a coma to give the Eridians more time to synthetize his nutrients. He makes Rocky promise to take care of himself too, for his weakened joints and oxyde-filled vents. They'll be all better soon, the both of them.
But the nanny-bot has a program to follow. When Grace's vitals finally start improving enough for him to be woken up, there's a particular medicine it has to give to him.
Or: Grace gets a second dose of amnesia drugs right after getting to Erid.
