Summary
It's the middle of playoffs and the Centaurs team doctor Terry is doing physicals to make sure no has sustained any injuries that would affect their play. He does Shane's and he sees Shane is slightly underweight then what is normal for him during playoffs. When he brings it up with Shane he brings up the fact that Shane is diagnosed with an eating disorder and tells him that he will have a chat with Shane's therapist and nutritionist on what to do.
Shane does not take this very well.

Summary
Shane is at home alone and struggles to eat his turkey sandwich for lunch. His therapist and nutritionist and doctor were 'forcing' him to eat three meals a day. He can hardly make it threw the fist few bites before he spits them out into a napkin and has a staring contest with the sandwich. He is mad at himself for not being able to eat and he is mad that he even has to do it. He ends up realizing he is home alone and gives into the impulses he usually hides from Ilya.

Ilya doesn’t trust pills, especially anything addictive. He’s seen too many people he loved fall into addictive cycles and pills can be used for evil, Sasha’s addiction and his mother’s suicide immediately coming to mind for him. Shane was nervous for different reasons, ones he didn’t really state out loud: he didn’t want Ilya to have easy access to pills at home, especially ones so easy to overdose on.
The team doctor encouraged him to take the pills anyway. Shane wants a speedy recovery, he wants to be playing again, back in control as soon as possible. So he took them. He’d be done with them soon enough, he wouldn’t have to worry about Ilya being around them, and he’ll be recovered just in time for the Irina Foundation Game Changers Summer Camps to start up in Montreal two weeks after the end of the season.__________________________
After a season ending injury, Shane is prescribed opioid medications to deal with a beat up shoulder. What was supposed to be small doses to help with the pain quickly spiraled out of control as Shane tried to remain in control. It's fine, he knows what he's doing, and Ilya never has to know.

Shane decides to surprise Ilya after he beats him.
Shane smiled at him. “I wanted to cheer you up from your loss.”
Ilya glared at him a little, but there was no ice behind it, instead a warmth that spread from his head to his toes. Ilya stalked toward him, like a predator locking on to his prey, and Shane only let his legs fall open as his boyfriend fit between them. “Maybe I let you win,” Ilya whispered as his nose nudged along Shane’s jaw.
“Fuck you,” Shane whispered as he tilted his head so he could catch Ilya’s mouth with his own. He didn’t think anything could feel better than kissing Ilya, nothing could quite compare- well maybe winning a cup would beat it, but only by a smidge. Ilya licked into his mouth, claiming Shane’s tongue as his own, and his right hand snaking down to rub a thumb over the jut of Shane’s hip where the lace laid beautifully against his skin. Shane gasped as his head fell to the side allowing his boyfriend the access to his neck where he could nip and bite.
