When Ice faints after landing on the tarmac and doesn’t seem be getting any better he undergoes a series of tests and gets diagnosed with invisible illness called POTS and Maverick and Slider have to help him deal with the sudden sickness and diagnosis of it. I saw the prompt “Helpless” for Day 1 of Febuwhump and decided in this. I have POTS and randomly felt like doing a fic where I use it as an angsty topic. It’s lots of angst and suffering for Iceman but Maverick is great toward him and Slider helps too sometimes.

This branch of the nervous system regulates functions we don’t consciously control, such as heart rate, blood pressure, sweating and body temperature. Summary
It’s common knowledge that Tom Kazansky loves his whiskey nearly as much as he loves flying. Whenever the occasion calls for a drink, Tom will, more often than not, opt for the liquid gold over any cheaper alternatives with lower alcohol content. Pete knows that by expressing his unfavourable opinion about Tom’s choice of poison, he’s risking being unceremoniously kicked out of the apartment and stripped of all the friendship privileges previously granted to him. Fortunately, what happens next isn’t nearly as dramatic.

The light in the cabin goes out when Jake starts the engine again, and Bob can’t see the look on his face anymore. He can’t guess Jake’s intentions based on his behaviour up to that moment - going from zero to a hundred on the intensity scale in a matter of seconds, then cutting it short just as quickly, leaving Bob breathless and feeling betrayed.
