He snorts at the thought, but still feels a little scared at the possibility of Eddie being able to hear what he thinks. Because wouldn't that be just the cherry on top of his ridiculous life?

Bruce swallows past the almost-truth of it. In Clark's warm smooth radio voice, it sounds plausible. It sounds like something that could happen.

He's dumbstruck and just kneels there for several long moments staring at his hands, at the bloom of rug burn forming before his eyes.
"I can't fly," he says dumbly.
