Elphaba Thropp has never quite felt loved. Well, not really. She was tolerated, allowed,and on the rare occasion liked, but being loved, that unconditional, all consuming love has always escaped her. She didn't know what it was supposed to look like, how it was supposed to feel, but in this moment, as she lays there with Glinda securely in her arms, her soft snores melodic in Elphaba’s ears, the smell of flowers from the shampoo Glinda uses stimulating her senses, all Elphaba thinks, as she slowly succumbs to sleep is, “wow, this is what it feels like, isn't it?”

Summary
Gemma can't seem to catch a break, even after her campaign for the government regulation of AI and now that she's living with one herself. Even if that same AI, M3GAN, managed to save the world from being subjugated by her own kind.
The US Government offers her a way to thwart their attention by legally marrying M3GAN, and thereby placing her under her care as she's an adult at this point, but because of her robot status, cannot be allowed to live on her own.
The problem lies with Gemma, since M3GAN's rebuilt form resembles too much of her type, physically speaking. And yet, because of Cady, public pressure, and unwanted government surveillance, she accepts.
