Summary
Sometimes, Asahi wonders if he’s meant to be a god. He is out of place in this world, where time passes differently and actions happen without reactions. He finds his solace in the plants that spring up from the ground and the unfurling of leaves, the gentle rumblings and shiftings of his world, not in the wild chaos of both gods and men. There are too many weights on his mind, the same weights as everyone else, and yet they seem to affect him more, biting into his mind. The other gods seem to bear it better, doing their best to serve the beings of the world, to do what they were made to do without anxieties.
One in particular seems not to bear it at all, but he is far away, completely out of his reach.

Summary
This man is covered in scars. They stretch across his calves and his arms, the wide expanse of that muscled chest. The man’s feet are bare, so Noya sees scars all over his soles and ankles. As he reaches for the fish, his sleeve slides down, and Noya catches sight of even more markings on his hands and arms. There is no rhyme or reason to the scars. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say that he looks stitched together, a rough patchwork of parts used to create a man.
---
Noya's life is changed when he finds an impossibly tall stranger in the woods, one with a past he refuses to talk about and an incredibly strange body.

Summary
In the hopes of finishing his manuscript in peace, Jon takes his loyal companion Ghost with him on holiday for a week, renting out his friend Sam's cabin in the Vale. Instead of the solitude he was promised, however, what he finds is trouble in the form of one unwelcome housemate: Daenerys Targaryen.

The Bride of Frankenstein lived.
"It is true, we shall be monsters; cut off from all the world; but on that account we shall be more attached to one another."

Summary
You came to the mountains to be alone. The villagers whisper of spirits haunting the peaks, but what you discover buried in the snow is no ghost, only a wounded patchwork of a man, if man he is, who should not be alive.
What begins as pity becomes something deeper, darker, and unexpectedly tender as you confront the loneliness in him that mirrors your own.

Summary
"Do you know what I am going to do to you?" The voice is low, grating, as if it comes not from his throat but was scraped from the very bottom of his ribcage. The Creature keeps his large hand sealed over your mouth. You can only shake your head. “I will kill you.”
You almost shiver: half your fantasies of him start precisely like this.
Or, the Creature arrives in Geneva to enact his revenge by murdering Victor’s family and friends, starting with you— only for you to extend him kindness, as is due of someone as pious and chaste as yourself. Curious and lonely, he lingers to watch you, to aid you, and finds in a fair and godly guise a companion perhaps even more monstrous than he.

Summary
Slowly, your fingers trace the grooves of his face; scars, veins, and blemishes alike. "And what do they call you, sir?" You ask into the darkness.
The man tenses under your touch, and enormous palms rise to grasp your hands, rough fingers grazing over your knuckles. "I do not have a name," he rasps, and by then, you must notice how otherworldly he sounds. "I do not need a name."
Your brows furrow as your thumbs continue to follow along the deep lines on his cheeks, down his chin. "And what, pray tell, would you have me call you? Everyone needs a name."
Perhaps, he thinks, I'd like for you to call me yours.
Or, The Creature secludes himself in an abandoned manor many years after his father's death. He expects what his elongated life has already provided him—loneliness, disappointment, longing. He does not, however, expect you.
