Summary
Angels were never supposed to love. It was against their very nature. They were only meant to watch and protect from their paradise in the clouds. When Lucifer rebelled, falling in love with humanity, the system fell apart. Love never seemed possible for those with large, elegant wings. But suddenly, all around, the ethereal creatures were falling, their once blindingly white wings crumpled, decaying, and turning black. Those who fell were condemned, only some being fortunate enough to keep the broken frames of their wings. Most were left with burned, blistering wounds on their back, where their most-prized possessions used to protrude from. They acted as painful reminders. And warnings. Warnings to others who hadn’t fallen not to repeat those mistakes.
The Fallen were greedy. No longer tied down by the rules of Heaven, they grew intense. They loved, and they loved hard. Almost obsessively so. Some grew so obsessed with love, more so than they once had been. The Fallen were missing a piece of themselves, and many looked for love to fill that gap.
