Ricky blinked at him, silent for a beat, his lips pressing into a thin line before they curved upward, ever so slightly. It wasn’t quite a smile; it was more like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Wait, is this… are you confessing or something?”
Gyuvin’s mouth snapped shut. “What? No!” he blurted, his face going scarlet. “I mean—ugh!” He raked a hand through his hair once more, glaring at the floor before forcing himself to meet Ricky’s bewildered gaze again. “Yes, okay, I was going to confess. But not after you first admitted you’re a vampire!”

Summary
There were a lot of things that 20-year-old Kim Gyuvin knew. He knew that as the only child to a deaf mother, he was the sole bridge between her and the hearing world, the voice she needed. He knew that his family situation wasn’t the best, so he had to make full use of the university scholarship he had to make his mother proud. He knew that the used CD shop he worked at was old and somewhat dingy, but he loved working there regardless.
What Kim Gyuvin did not know was that the appearance of a deaf (and devilishly handsome) art student at the CD shop was about to turn his entire world upside down.

Summary
“You’ve just never been in love, so you wouldn’t know what it’s like.”
It hits him how she didn’t think his last relationship was anything special. It makes him wonder how much time he’d wasted chasing a feeling he wasn’t even able to capture.
Ricky thought he was in love. For a little while, at least. Until he realized that he could never love someone as much as he loved the buildup before it all. The clouds of romance swirling together, the thrill of the chase all culminating into one huge storm that’d electrocute his entire core with excitement.
Except, the clouds dissipate and the sky clears. The world continues to spin and Ricky’s left staring at the puddles on the ground. Completely un-electrocuted.
Needless to say, he agrees. He’s never been in love and he wouldn't really know what that looks like. He’d been much more focused on the thoughts and emotions that were easier to decipher. Such as storms and the drama that comes with chasing them.
He may not know what love feels like, but he knows what he wants. He wants to run.
Ricky chases storms. Gyuvin creates them. By fate or by chance, their lives come crashing together.

Summary
"You?” Gyuvin stares at him wide-eyed, blinking in recognition. For a moment, he thinks he sees the same recognition reflected back, like he recognizes Gyuvin as well.
The creature is the most human-like creature Gyuvin has ever seen. Sharp dark eyes, a pink sullen mouth, long delicate fingers — the only thing indicating he’s not human are his pointed ears and the ethereal way his long blond hair cascades over his shoulders.
Quanrui.
He’s seen Quanrui thousands of times in his dreams, enough that he thought he knew Quanrui thoroughly. But nothing can compare to seeing him in the flesh. How his dark eyes sparkle as he looks down at Gyuvin’s contorted face, how his skin reflects the light filtering through the trees, the floral fragrant smell that seems to emanate off of him.
It’s him, here in the mortal world and not of his perilous dreams.
