“Are you still mad at me?” Seb asks innocently like a child. Mark looks down and see’s his big blue eyes. There’s a small sparkle in them, and if Mark squints, there’s a tiny flame.
When Mark doesn’t respond, and Seb doesn’t get the answer (he knows) he wants, Seb reaches over for Mark’s hands. He uncurls them from the tight fist and lays them on straight on his lap. Seb tinier, pale hands trace Mark’s bigger and sun-kissed hands. Mark’s hands are more calloused and worked and aged then Seb’s. Seb traces the deep moon-shaped imprints in the palm on his hand, noticing the redness surrounding them. His touch is so soft and strangely comforting, and Mark leans right into it.
“No,” Mark says lowly with a soft sigh. He gently grabs Seb’s hand, curls his fingers around it, and squeezes it. Seb squeezes back and turns his body towards Mark, curling up into a little ball. “I can’t stay mad at you, darling.”
