Summary
Lucius is stuck, trapped and yearning. His sister Matilda has good advice, but he doesn't want good advice. Set in the same timeline as an earlier story, A Lighthouse To Each Other, but can be read on its own. All you need to know is that Lucius is hiding from the law in a draughtsman's office in Barbados, and that he has been for years corresponding with one of his younger sisters (he has two younger and at least three older).

Summary
What do you do when you've been married nearly a decade and you're still nearly strangers, when you know something has to change even if it means everything falls apart? Maybe you ask the stranger who shares your bed and your life, and you ask yourself, to take a leap and make a gift of as much truth as you can handle. And maybe, as you're trying to figure out how to make that gift of your truth a reality, you fumble closer to truths about yourself you didn't even know.

Summary
Jim becomes a legend at Blackbeard’s side.
They can’t help being the meanest and the sharpest of them all, striking fear just to make sure everyone else flinches first. Life is pain, and they are better off inflicting than receiving.
They hate Blackbeard and they hate Izzy, but Jim's place is here. They all deserve each other. Three feral dogs hiding their tenderness from each other like it’s a rotting wound.

Summary
“Come here.” Ed puts his hand back behind Stede’s neck and pulls him close. “Listen, I know you said no sex, but… would you try it, just once, with me? I promise we’ll stop if it ever gets to be too much. Solemn vow.”
Stede stays silent for a moment. He thinks of Mary, not even meeting his eyes as they performed their marital duties. And he thinks of Ed, pulling back after their first kiss, gazing at him as if Stede were the most beautiful thing in the world.
“Alright,” he whispers.
*Stede doesn't like sex. At least, he thinks he doesn't, because he's never had sex with someone he's actually attracted to before. Ed very patiently teaches him that sex can actually be enjoyable. There is crying. Bon apetit.

Summary
A remarkable "braided novel" of 8 stories and novellas which Macedon wrote in tandem with the equally remarkable Peg Robinson. Too sprawling (in the grand sense) in scale and reach to reduce to a mere synopsis; let us just say that this is Voyager unfettered and red in tooth and claw, such as Paramount with its nice tidy pander-to-the-demographics mentality could only dream of producing. Faith, community, alienation and belonging, honest conflict between Maquis and Starfleet, and the realities of life far from home and safety. These are just a few of the things Macedon and Peg handled with discretion and grace.
From Macedon: I recently learned that my friend of many years, Peg, passed away in her sleep September 3, 2024. If you were or are a fan of the Talking Stick series and Peg's fiction, please think softly on her and light some sage or tobacco in her memory for the wonderful stories she gave to us.

Summary
"Good-bye children."
Stede's in the process of closing the door as quietly as he can - something he's an expert in, he likes to sneak in and give them a kiss after they've gone to bed but before he does - when he hears it.
"Papa?"
Damn.
