And for a time, he wondered if he shouldn’t leave right now. Just disappear now; make a clean break of it. If it wouldn’t be for the best.
Before he could make a decision, there was rustling from the trees behind, and Ed was there. He broke out into a mischievous smile when he spotted Stede there, on the dock. Stede had to look away.
Ed tossed a sack into the dinghy and came to crouch beside Stede. “You ready, mate?”
Stede sniffed. “Ed, I don’t… I don’t think I can go,” he muttered.
He felt a warm hand on his shoulder. “What d’you mean?” Ed asked.
Stede gazed off into the Eastern sky, imagining what the sunrise would look like from the South China Sea.
“I’ve ruined everything,” he said, eventually. “Chauncey was right. I destroy everything I touch. You thought you were the monster,” he added, as Ed came to sit next to him, “but it was me all along. Maybe I’m the kraken.”

Summary
A warrior can have no fame if no one tells of his deeds, and Dwalin has always been aware of that. When he meets Ori, he pays him the respect a writer is due. Respect, however, slowly becomes love, and when the Company of Thorin Oakenshield has settled down in Erebor, Dwalin feels himself unable to do anything about his attraction to the gentle scribe - after all, why would Ori want him, a mere fighter?
Unlike the older dwarves, Ori spent much time talking to Men, and suspects that, while the ancient dwarven texts mention homosexuality as a matter of fact, it is now frowned upon, as it is among Men. Which is why the exact extent of his admiration for Dwalin must be kept a secret. He also heard some rumours of what two males being intimate involves, and while he is no coward, Kíli's stories about pain and blood do make him a bit anxious. Kíli has no experience of his own, but he sounds so certain, he must be right, right?

Bee's Tea and Coffee is employed by students.
Specifically Bilbo, Bofur, and Ori (Bard and Lobelia are there too, but they are too sane for this).
They're just normal university students. Ori frequently advertises for new friends, and is known to throw things (straws and cups) when angry. Bilbo takes orders in other languages, and your cup may have engineering and calculus equations when you get it, courtesy of Bofur. Nori comes by to hit on the cute barista with the hat, while Bard hides behind lamps whenever Thranduil walks in. Dwalin puts up with all this because he has a cute barista of his own, and he gets coffee besides. Thorin's just here for the food.
