Will shivered and groaned, curling into the couch like it might magically preserve his body heat, before sheepishly asking, “Does anyone have an extra sweater? I forgot mine.”
“Yeah—Will, no worries—” Lucas started, reaching for his bag, about to pull out the extra hoodie he’d packed for tomorrow. But before he could even unzip the damn thing, Mike literally yanked his own hoodie off and tossed it at Will like it was nothing. Will let out a tiny “oomph” as it landed on him, clearly not expecting it.
“I got it, Lucas,” Mike said, smug as hell. Yeah, no shit, Michael. Lucas just stared. Seriously? If he’d asked Mike for a jacket, it would have involved like…seven passive-aggressive comments. Not whatever the hell this is.

Summary
One stool over from him was a boy seemingly around his age, and Mike's gaze caught on him like a fly in a spiderweb. He was hunched over the counter, pencil in hand, sketching in a leather bound journal. He had light brown hair that fell ever so slightly over his eyes, messy, like he'd been running his hand through it. Mike's eyes followed the slope of his nose to his lips and down his neck, where he caught sight of a few moles that looked awfully familiar.
Mike gaped at him, a slow, 'oh no, oh no, oh no,' echoing through his entire body.
The boy must've felt him staring, because he then turned his head to stare Mike head on. His eyes widened a fraction after a second, and Mike didn't know what to do, because Will fucking Byers was right in front of him at a gay bar in Rhode Island.
After finally finding the courage to go to a gay bar in the new city he's moved to, Mike comes face to face with the boy who's haunted him for years.

“Well, can you think out loud?” Will gripes, sounding tense and unhappy even as he settles back against Mike’s chest. “You’re making me nervous.”
Mike laughs a little. “I’m not sure I should; I don’t want to freak you out.”
“Mike,” and Will sounds supremely unimpressed, “I just took control of three Demos, two of which were miles away, and proceeded to snap their limbs and kill them with my mind. Not only that, I just told you that I did it by drawing strength, in large part, from being your friend. You’re worried about freaking me out? Really?”
“Yeah, and I’m the guy who watched you do it and thought that it was the hottest thing I’d ever seen in my life, so what does that say about me?”
There’s a long, shocked silence.
“See, this is why I don’t think out loud,” Mike jokes weakly.

Mike falls a little bit more in love with Will because, at this point, who wouldn't? He just saved Mike's life, after all. Unfortunately, the others don't quite see it that way, and it's getting to Will a little bit. Mike intends to remedy that.

Will Byers is turning 17 very soon, and for him that means he is a beta. He's made it this far without presenting, but still is holding out some hope that he will present as an omega.
