    Summary

This is so much bigger than him, Koby realizes, like a bucket of ice water pouring over him. Five minutes ago he saw Luffy get unceremoniously executed by Blackbeard. He didn’t even get a chance to help. And now he’s years back in time, with a laundry list of very vague instructions about what not to do if he wants to prevent that, given to him by a ninja version of himself that kissed him on the mouth.

    Summary

On Centaxday, two hours before sunrise, Clone Force 99 arrived on Kashyyyk to aid in Wookiee efforts to wipe out Trandoshan camps on the perimeter of Kkowir Forest. By Benduday, following a series of precision strikes and unfortunate encounters with the local wildlife, the Invasion of Kashyyyk had officially begun and Commander Gree was seeing the task force off with the promise that he would be in contact once the main city was retaken.

This promise, naturally, was nothing more than a pleasantry. Clone Force 99 was memorable, but ultimately unimportant: they were a single cog in a machine much bigger than themselves and a Marshal Commander like Gree had more pressing matters to attend to. It was enough already that he had taken the time out of his day to accompany the squad back to their ship.

Most Commanders who enlisted their help, like Bacara or Neyo, didn’t even say goodbye.

    _____________

In the aftermath of the Clone Wars and the Republic's transformation into the Galactic Empire, members of a unique squad of clones find their way in a changing galaxy.

    The Bad Batch, redone.

      THIS IS SO INYERESYING ???

» “Suguru! Open this door! Who’s cursed energy is that? I don’t recognize it!”
Geto holds it shut and locks it. “It’s, uh, one of my curses?”
“Come on, man, lie with more conviction,” Gojo hisses.
      “What’s going on in there!?”
“Sorry, we’re just having a bit of diarrhea!” Gojo calls. “Right, Shoko?”
“Ohhhh, shit,” Shoko says. “So much shit.”
The door smashes open, and this is how Yaga finds his students: Shoko shoving her hands over a K-pop fangirl’s mouth, and Geto and Gojo trying to smuggle the aforementioned girl under the bed.

» “I said fuck off,” Toji chides. “She called her man.”
STOP. Izanami bangs her hands on the table. That was so sexy! KILL HIM.

» “I’ll take these, too.” Toji snaps the diamonds out of the frog’s hollow eyes. It ribbits angrily and hops away. He chuckles to himself, tossing the purse up and down. “I like you, piggy bank.”
Disgusting playboy, Izanami sneers. Kiss us again, then die! In that order.

» “That’s it!” Seri cries, bouncing a little in her seat. The other players sigh. “Tell me, does Nintendo still make playing cards?”
“If only,” the gentleman says. “It’s all games and consoles these days.”
“I like the little plumber guy,” says an eager younger man. “Mario.”
The gentleman shoots him a look of disgust. “Of course you would, you millennial.”
Another player forgets the game entirely. “What’s a girl like you doing here, anyway?”
“Toji said I was a distraction,” Seri says cheerfully.

» “I’m hungry. I want the yellow M.” Seri draws the shape in the air. “With the cheeseburgers.”

“This tastes so much better than the meals at the jujutsu school. Foul, processed, stinking of humanity.” She belches. “Delicious.”
      “Huh,” Toji says.
…‘Huh’? He drags her out to be an accomplice to murder, and he can’t even give her more than monosyllabic grunts when she tries to talk to him? If Geto and Gojo were here, they wouldn’t stop bickering or cracking silly jokes.

» “I keep it in my stomach,” he says, noticing her grimace. “It’s a real helpful curse. I can store anything in there. Weapons, bombs, dead bodies.” Toji is so blasé he can commit murder and then eat McDonald’s for a post-assassination snack. He is unbothered by everything.

» Seri taps her chin. “You’re about to be married, aren’t you? What else can you do besides killing? Can you cook?”
      “No.”
      “Can you clean?”
      “Nope.”
“Can you look after small children?”
      Toji scowls. “What?”
“I’m grading your housewifeliness.” She opens her mouth to finish off her burger. “So far, you’re scoring zero.”
He catches her hand. His tongue flashes out, and he pulls out the last bit of hamburger bun and patty with his teeth. “Tryna wife me up, are ya?” He grins that sleazy grin. “I’ll be your sugar baby for the right price.”
Seri snatches her hand back. “A player and a cheater.”
Don’t be so stuffy, Izanami tuts. There is a rich history of polyamorous relationships.

» Toji pushes back his hair. The movement of his arms opens up his broad chest. “You can’t stop thinking about fucking me, can you.”
Seri sighs. “With the sharp end of a sword.”
The Sorcerer Killer’s eyes crinkle, and his mouth quirks upwards. “That’s just how I like it.”

    "It's Quartz."

    "Huh?"

    "My name. It's Quartz."

[An old life gladly left behind, an uncertain future ahead – the new not-so-member-but-still-kinda-member of the Whitebeard Pirates finds it hard to fit in. Fitting-in in general was something Quartz didn't do well, but one can only go for so long before being undeniably roped along with the shenanigans of one of the strongest crews in the world. Quartz, in hindsight, doesn't seem to mind that much. And little by little, her world begins to bloom in ways she never thought it ever could; with a family.]

“If my consequences catch up,” she started, a mild shake in her voice, “what will you do?”

“Stand with you, of course, for you are my child,” was the genuine answer. The warmth in Quartz’s chest seemed to preen, yet, she was unable to push it down. Instead it spread, to the tips of her fingers and to her toes, filling her with sundrops. Suddenly, she felt afraid if she might spill. So she scoffed, cheeks rosy.

“I’m not some helpless little girl,”

Whitebeard laughed at that, loud and booming. His grin was bright, glinting like her carving knife, all mischievous and mean and so damn affectionate.

“Of course not,” his eyes turned into joyous crescent moons. “You, my dear, you are a storm with skin.”

And somehow, it was one of the kindest things she has heard directed at her.

val>>>>>>>> if I had a penny for every one piece fic I’d read while low key having a emotional breakdown, I’d have a whole dollar

» It’s not so bad in the first two weeks because she doesn’t miss people like people should; she’s fine on her own, as long as she knows they’re out there, that she can see them again. And she has Luffy. She has Sabo. She's busy. She hunts. She trains. She goes to the Edge, to the countryside, to the forest, alone. Life goes on. It doesn’t hit her until it hits her, until she reaches for them (him), until she needs them (him) and they aren’t there (he isn't there). He's not there.

When it does hit her, it hits her hard.

Two weeks after Ace’s departure she wails into Sabo’s shirt as the sobs tear out of her like broken glass. It’s because the thought flitted through her mind - Ace could die, he could be dying right now and I wouldn’t know, not until I saw it in the papers - and then all of her fear and anxiety about him leaving condenses into one spec of absolute, pressing, undeniable truth: you need to cry right now.

      And she does. «

THIS WAS SO GOOD??????????? amazing beautiful hilarious and the DEVIL FRUIT IS SO COOL???? i love penny and this is written so well.

» “Pirates, she found, got rather lovesick after seeing no one but one another for weeks on end. Penny wondered if they realized the obvious solution to their problem was to fall in love with one another or stick to land.”

» “He was a Marine.” “I could’ve fixed him.” Shanks pulled his cape over his face until it was resting just under his eyes. He gave her an intense stare, “My name is Penny,” he said in a high-pitched voice, “And I’m the only girl on this ship, so I’m special.”

» “P-p-p—” “Pirate?” gasped Penny mockingly as she walked toward the door. She pulled it open, turning her head back with a slight grin. “Where?!”

» “Stop mentioning Shanks. It’s my island. I bring all my lovers here.” Penny paused, turning green in the face. Her finger went into the air, circling rapidly. “Rewind. You are not and will never be in that category. This—” She gestured to all of him, “—is not my type.” “What’s wrong with this?” asked Ace, copying her gesture. Penny pressed her hands together, bringing them against her mouth, and inhaled deeply. “There are billions of species on the Grand Line that can send you into the dreary depths of hell in a single, undetectable nibble, and yet, you knowingly walk around in a state of undress. To willingly invite such carelessness in my bed would be gross incompetence.” “Meaning?” “You look like you’ve caught pox before. Worry not, though, I understand that you’re at the age where companionship might be on your mind, so no judgment.” Ace keeled over laughing so hard tears streamed out of his eyes in rivets.”

» “You don’t care about me being Roger’s son?” Penny couldn’t judge since she had too much bias when it came to Gol D. Roger. “I can see the resemblance, but seeing as I’ve never met the man, I can’t say how he’s influenced your character. Your grandfather, on the other hand, is a menace and should be stopped. He’s got in his head that we need to attend some sort of reform camp and turn a new leaf with the Marines.”

» “Did you swallow a dictionary?” A slightly haughty look crossed her face, “I'm well-read.” It was Luffy all over again, thought Ace, except this time Luffy had taken the form of an over-the-top, precocious woman. He was adding it to the long list of reasons to avoid the Red Hair pirates as a whole. His first and only meeting with Shanks had ended up with him passed out drunk on a beach and everything he had taken with him missing.  “What exactly is your whole—” Ace, remembering the flamboyant flail of her hand, imitated the gesture. “—deal?” “What do you mean?” “Skill-wise. If I’m going to let you help, then I need to know.” Penny’s grin gained an edge, “Are we becoming official?” “Just tell me.” “One, I’m immortal. Two, I’m very good at arts and crafts. Three, I can hunt down all sorts of rare and illegal items. Four, I’m a superb conversationalist. Five—” “You’re annoying.” Penny sagged, pulling her coffee towards her, “I was the only girl surrounded by hordes of men who thought it was funny to place me in constant danger. How else was I supposed to turn out?” Ace snickered, “I bet that was fun.” Penny’s answering smile could’ve replaced the sun, “It was an absolute riot.”

» “Is the lovers thing true?” asked Ace in a tone that suggested her answer would immediately be shared with his crew when he returned home. “Sometimes,” admitted Penny with a yawn. “Unfortunately, being near you is…detrimental towards my mating habits.” Ace groaned, laughing slightly. “Yeah, it’s got nothing to do with you calling it a ‘mating habit,’ and everything to do with me.” “Fornication. Copulation. Intercourse.” Penny listed the words off on her fingers. “Sex,” shot back Ace. ”

» “I say we get a Den Den Mushi, put Blackbeard on the Navy’s watchlist, and let them work their magic.” Ace looked at her from the corner of his eye, “They’ve got us on a watchlist.” “We’re on a hit list.” “Same thing. Who’s the next one?” Penny struggled to read Ace’s handwriting before thrusting the paper in his face. He squinted, seeming to be unable to read it too, “Marshall Beard III,” said Ace. “That’s obviously our man,” commented Penny dryly. “Right?” said Ace with an eager grin. “It probably is him!”

» I have a special fondness for women. They are like men, but better.

-From the Logbook of Bard “Quill” William. «

» “For what? Even if you die, I’ll be forgiven.” Hancock spun around to look at her. “Do you know why? Because I’m beautiful.”

That was the kind of confidence every woman needed before committing murder. «

this fic is actually beautiful. inserts/isekais are usually trope-y, romantically focused, and the plot is. out there.

however, this has an amazing of, beautiful writing and characterizations, and took me like a day to read. I, like hoku, only have vague information surrounding one piece, so this was very interesting.

excited to see the next few additions!

      some quotes I enjoyed:)

"He wasn't a notch in the post, by the way," Hoku said to the limp figure, looking amused. "Not every girl's problem has to be a man."
But it can always be a good sword. Hoku sighed with a bit of longing, missing Yoru already. Mau chuckled low behind her. I wonder what the person who made him looks like... I could get with that.

"It would be an honor to help your kind," Hack said, stepping onto her boat.
Lucky shifted, bobbing almost with a heavy nod. Hoku laughed, closing her sketchbook back up and leaning back against the barrel. "I know I'm technically sorta an endangered species, but ain't that joke a bit in poor tastes?"
Hack stopped, setting his bag down onto the boat. He turned over his shoulder, staring at Hoku quizzically.
"You know," Hoku said, motioning to him. "'cause you're an animal conservationalist?"
      Hack stared.
"Okay," Hoku said. "Now this is just getting—"
"Hoku-san," Hack said. He stopped, turning fully to face Hoku with curious eyes, simply bewildered. "Did I not... Did I not make it clear, what organization I work for?"
      "Animal rights," Hoku said. "Right?"
"...Hoku-san," Hack said slowly, carefully, as though he were worried she wouldn't be able to process his next words. "I am a solider for the revolutionary army."
      ...
      ...
      ...
"You know what," Hoku said, feeling very, very dumb and very, very mortified. "They're... They're kinda the same, at the end of the day."
Hack seemed to contemplate the amount of intelligence within her statement.

"Sometimes things have genders and sometimes they don't. My Mau is a handsome older man still in his prime."
      "You flatter," Mau murmured.
Zoro's brows cinched a bit and Hoku grinned, leaning toward him with a sneaky sort of smirk, "Wanna know yours?"
"No," Zoro said flatly. "They're all men."
"...I will be whatever my master needs me to be," Yubashiri said dutifully.

"We'll show you!" Luffy shouted furiously. "Now give me back my hat! You—you dumbhead!"
"Wow, you really told her," Zoro muttered.

Okay!" Hoku barked, waving a flaming Mau threateningly at all three agents. "I need to know what's going on in five words or less!"
"We're gonna die!" Nami cried. "Help!"
"Bad guys," Zoro said. "Beat them up."
"They're Baroque Works!" Vivi explained quickly. "Luffy and Mr. Bushido fought with them on Whiskey Peak. Miss Valentine, Mr. Five and Mr. Three! They're the ones who gave Dorry the explosive ale!"
      Hoku turned to Vivi.
"Dorry trapped Luffy so he could go fight, even though he was injured!" Vivi cried. "They put Broggy and Dorry against each other!"
"Hey, she said five words or less," Zoro said. "She's too dumb for more than that."

“You sound like a mortal.” She said, with the faint glimmer of amusement in her eyes. Zagreus chortled too, but then fell silent. Nyx gave him a knowing look. “What is it, my child?”

“You said the curse is tied into my godhood, right? What if…” The words tasted unnatural in his mouth, a blasphemy before they could even take shape in the air. Zagreus coughed them out regardless. “What if I could shed my divinity? What if I became a mortal?”

Or, despite being a god, Zagreus keeps running out of time. A "Zagreus Becomes Mortal" AU.

“Kim Dokja, sign a contract with me to become my personal guide,” commanded Yoo Joonghyuk.

The room fell into silence. Kim Dokja blinked slowly as he saw the way that Yoo Joonghyuk continued to stand at his bedside stubbornly.

    Oh no, thought Kim Dokja.
