Suddenly seized by a wild impulse, he pressed every floor number at once.
“Goodness.” Leon raised an eyebrow, the hint of a smirk playing at his lips.
“Whoops?”
Merlin catches the lift all the way down.

Summary
Leon remembers walking through the forest, still feeling woozy after nearly losing his life. Or at least that’s what it must be, because he remembers how the forest had been so alive, so vibrant, as he’d wandered through it, making his way back to Camelot. He could feel every brush of wind, hear every rustle in the litter of the floor. The very air hummed with the vibrancy of life around him.
He remembers how that feeling had worn away as he’d returned to Camelot, and found the world just as he remembers leaving it, grey and loud, and utterly without the wonder he found in the forest. He felt sober as he walked into Camelot, wrung out as if after a long night in the tavern.

Summary
Merlin wakes up after a drunk night out with the knights in Sir Leon’s bed. They are both surprised by this outcome and pretend that it never happened in the first place—something that should be easy enough.
When they keep ending up in bed together after nights out drinking, it becomes harder to ignore. Merlin starts to see Leon in ways he never did before. He's reluctant to act on his new feelings since Leon is one of the king’s most loyal knights, and Merlin is a sorcerer in a kingdom where magic is still illegal.
