    Summary

“So what have you been up to this weekend?”
    “Family picnic,” Peter says.
“Oh, great, great fun,” Tony says and swipes away from the article about Spider-Man wrestling a giant spider on the roof of the Chrysler building.
It’s quite obvious that Tony knows he is Spider-Man, but decided not to acknowledge it; decided to keep the secret going. For what reason, Peter doesn’t know. Maybe Tony thinks he can use the information in his favor, or maybe he just doesn’t want Peter to freak out. Either way, it serves Peter just fine, because Tony tries so hard to keep up his oblivious act that he never prods too hard or looks too deep.
Which means all of Peter’s far bigger secrets are still safe.

Where could Peter go? They knew who he was, they knew who he would turn to. He would be putting his friends in danger. Who would want to help Spider-Man, but wouldn’t be suspected of helping Peter Parker? Except-

    Summary

A story about coffee, carjackers, and co-dad management.
Spider-Man is unpredictable and chaotic, never says no to free food and seems to spend most his time directing traffic. This rookie is in desperate need of a chaperone. And Tony doesn’t want to do it, but he’ll bear the burden as gracefully as he always does.
Local teen Peter Parker never wears warm enough clothes, and can’t always sleep at home for reasons he refuses to go into. So if the Avengers really expect Sam to join their hippie-commune-cult, someone is going to have to look after this kid for him.

“Your parents have been grooming you to take over the company, correct? You’ve been working closely alongside them, alongside their best scientists and technicians. I’m sure you’ve learned a fair deal. We could use that expertise at Stark Industries.”
“Essentially,” Parker says, “you want to pay me to reveal my parents’ company secrets.”
“Yes,” Tony says, cheerfully. “Thank you for catching on so quickly.”
    —
Tony’s week just turned a lot more promising: Rich kid Peter Parker has apparently dropped out of college and provoked the ire of his parents. A delicious scandal for the tabloids. And an opportunity too good to waste, even if it means putting up with a snooty, preppy college kid as his new intern.

When Ansari said, “Your father is Tony Stark,” Tony prepared himself for his son’s disappointment and anger but all he saw on Peter’s face was confusion.

He opened and closed his mouth several times, inhaling through his nose then slowly releasing the breath through his mouth. His eyebrows were furrowed and his nose was scrunched in a facial expression that read “okay, what the fuck.”

“Okay, what the fuck,” Peter said.

“We don’t talk about the Blaze of Sophomore Year,” Peter replies stoically, lowering his voice in pitch.

“Yeah we do!” Ned calls from the front door. He makes his way over, shoes discarded by the door. “Cindy still thinks we should’ve died.”

“Cindy would be correct, if my loser here didn’t have weird, heightened senses,” MJ replies, crossing her arms.

“‘My loser’? Aw, babe,” Peter coos.

MJ squints at him, trying not to laugh. “Married, Peter. Five years. Almost six.”

    Summary

Early December in New York City is brutal. With temperatures hovering in the low fifties and mid-forties, there isn't much wiggle room- you either have what you need or you don't.

Peter falls somewhere in the second category.

He's made a list of what he has, keeps it zipped up in his old backpack to make sure he hasn't lost anything important. It isn't long: a carefully folded wad of cash in the bottom of his bag, hidden away to make sure nobody else can find it; three granola bars for emergencies; ibuprofen (fighting crime isn't safe, kids); his Spider-Man suit (that's what he's decided to call himself); a pair of extra socks; his pictures.

That's it. Everything Peter owns fits in one bag.

    That's his lot in life.

    Pathetic.

(In which May and Ben died in tragic circumstances, leaving a fifteen-year-old Peter Parker to fend for himself. Enter Tony Stark: genius, playboy, billionaire, philanthropist, and- apparently- Spider-dad.)

"I literally swear to god," Sam's voice boomed, glaring at each of the Spider-People with venom in his gaze, "if Parker doesn't jump out right now and tell us that we've all been super-punked, someone is getting their rib-cage inverted."

"What the bird said," Tony boomed back. "Where the hell is my kid and who the hell are you?"

"I think I know what's going on here," the man said, rubbing a tired hand over his exhausted, wrinkled face. "My name's Peter. Peter Benjamin Parker. I think it's pretty safe to deduce that I'm from an alternate reality."

Tony froze. His heart, his breath, his brain, everything. He couldn’t help but stare into this man’s soul, swallowing around the uncomfortable lump in his throat and deciding at that moment that, if there were other realities, he was in the worst one.

"There can not be two Peter Parker's. We already have one here, and it's awful."

“Tony fucking Stark,” Clint says, and he points at the black smoke. “Did you blow up that base, you piece of shit?”
“Absolutely not. I almost got blown up with it.”
Clint is not alone. A few yards behind him, a scrawny figure halts and squints at Tony from underneath a frayed baseball cap. Sunken eyes. Dressed in a black undershirt and cargo pants.
    Can’t be older than eighteen.
    “What are you doing here?”
Clint jerks his head at the boy behind him. “SHIELD mission. Extracting a hostage.”
Tony glances back at the teenager, whose face has now morphed into something entirely impassive. “He seems thrilled about his rescue.”
    —
Tony is roped into a mission to transport a teenager to safety. But when things go south, it soon becomes more and more puzzling who the teenager is and what ‘safety’ means for him.

    Summary

“What exactly do you see here?”

It is a calculated question. Jim Morita, Principal of Midtown Science and Tech High, is more than capable of answering. But he let his mind wander for a bit.

He sees his students, five years gone in a flash. All dark clouds, and bad grades, and empty smiles.

And when Jim Morita looked into the eyes of that one student, the one who seems the most harrowed by it, that kid, Peter Parker, he couldn’t just stand by anymore.

He knew he had to do something.

    --

Or, Peter’s school goes not only on a field trip but also on a two-day camping trip to the Stark Tower and Avenger’s Compound upstate, a year after the events of Endgame.

And Peter, well, Peter doesn’t want to go.
