After being diagnosed with a relatively aggressive form of cancer at age twelve, Kyle Broflovski has been hospitalized for most of his middle and high school experience thus far. While having been -mostly- okay with missing out on vital events his friends often talk about when visiting him, he honestly just wants to get the hell out of this bed and live a little! After all, it's not his fault he drew the short end of the stick when it comes to the gene pool.
When the opportunity finally arrives for him to escape the confines of Hells Pass Hospital and go home, he's determined to live the rest of his teenage years as "normally" as possible (to South Park standards, at least) and enjoys what time he has left with his friends- whether it be six months or five years. Unfortunately for him, the universe has a way of throwing hurdles in his way that may or may not thwart his plans for accomplishing that goal all the while complicating his relationships with a certain person in his support system- namely, his super best friend Stan Marsh[…]

Summary
A cancer diagnosis can mean a lot of things for a lot of different people, whether that means changing up their lifestyle habits to accommodate for (annoying) things like treatment schedules, or going to grief counselling sessions after a less than ideal prognosis.
For Kyle, it just means that yet another thing in his life has gone to complete and utter shit— and for once, it has nothing to do with Cartman.
Maybe.
“We're taking you out to celebrate!”
“Celebrate?” Kyle echos back dryly, unsure of whether he should be amused by the poor choice of words or irritated by them. “Celebrate what? The fact that I'm starting another round of chemo in the morning?”
