And he definitely was not doing all this just so he could stay close to his best friend, who he only saw as a friend.
He was the biggest liar in the world.
But he hated it. He hated lying to Kyle, but he had no choice. He wanted to stay by Kyle's side for as long as he could.

After being diagnosed with a relatively aggressive form of cancer at age twelve, Kyle Broflovski has been hospitalized for most of his middle and high school experience thus far. While having been -mostly- okay with missing out on vital events his friends often talk about when visiting him, he honestly just wants to get the hell out of this bed and live a little! After all, it's not his fault he drew the short end of the stick when it comes to the gene pool.
