Summary
In the shadow of her father’s divine will, the Dark Urge has always obeyed. A devoted leader of the cult of Bhaal, she wields destruction as easily as devotion, commanding fear and loyalty in equal measure. Yet cracks are forming in her psyche, and whispers of selfhood stir in the darkness.
Between the scheming of her brother Sarevok, the cunning of her sister Orin, and the enigmatic ambition of Enver Gortash, she must navigate loyalty, love, and her own awakening desires. As she confronts the weight of inheritance and the echoes of creation itself, she begins to see the first signs of her autonomy - and the dangerous allure of freedom.
Blood will bind her, but only she can choose whether to break the chains.

Crown Heist in Cania: We Are Not Qualified For This by Aerin67

Summary
A humorous and (mostly) reliable retelling of how The Dark Urge and Enver Gortash successfully broke into the eighth layer of hell and stole The Crown of Cania.
Featuring: Enver's distracting pectorals, The Bhaalist communal library, unionizing pit fiends, copious threats to wizards, and a multitude of inappropriate workplace behaviours.
---“Enver, you’re still up. Good. How do you feel about stealing from Mephistopheles? Should be a nice change from paperwork.”
The Banite, to his credit, merely offered a brisk nod and went back to whatever incoherent scrawl he was passing off as work. “I’m glad you mentioned it. Pour yourself a drink, let’s talk logistics.”

Summary
Sparring with Enver Gortash is supposed to be simple: no magic, no weapons, just bruises and banter. But one careless jibe about Mirin’s divine blood cuts too deep, and her control slips—magic surges, her fist connects, and Gortash hits the ground hard, bloodied and grinning like he’s finally gotten exactly what he wanted.
Pinned beneath the spawn of a god, he isn’t afraid. He’s exhilarated.
In the charged quiet of the training yard, Mirin realises two things: Enver has been goading her power from the start, and he is more than willing to bleed to stand at the edge of her storm. What follows is a battle of wills and worship, where power is leverage, devotion is a weapon, and the man who would rule a city might just prefer to kneel for a goddess instead.
Or: Mirin loses her temper in the sparring ring, Gortash discovers that getting punched by a demigod is his new favourite hobby, and somewhere between bruises and blood, they start negotiating what it means to rule—together.

Summary
Caught in a winter storm, Mirin finds sanctuary at Enver's townhouse
--
Enver’s study door was closed, but Mirin entered without knocking – a privilege only she possessed. The room enveloped her in a welcoming warmth, the dark oak panelling lending a snug, intimate feel that set it apart from the grander, more imposing spaces downstairs. Here, the golden candlelight pooled softly in corners, spotlighting shelves of worn books and curiosities, while plush rugs muffled her steps and made the room a comforting retreat from the winter outside. Even the faint scent of leather and old paper added to the feeling of safety and ease.

Summary
Reborn and unbound, The Dark Urge steps into a world that fears her legacy and questions her choices. Her powers have shifted, entwined with the cycles of life and death, as she embraces a new path that both terrifies and empowers her.
Guided by allies like the cunning Astarion and the steadfast Wyll, she learns that redemption is not given - it is earned. As she navigates moral labyrinths, confronts the Netherbrain, and faces Gortash once more, she must decide whether compassion, vengeance, or domination will shape her destiny.
In the ashes of the past, a new self must grow - and choose.
This is the second part of my series Shadows of Creation. It is not necessary to read the first part, but please consider checking it out if you like The Dark Urge/Gortash dynamic.

Summary
Baldur’s Gate is technically safe. The city still bleeds — and Mirin is part of the wound. She holds it together with councils, refugees, crime and politics, until there’s nothing left but duty and exhaustion. Everyone praises their hero. No one tells her to stop. No one except the man in chains.
Enver Gortash, deposed tyrant and public monster, watches her shake through visits she insists are “fine” and calls her martyrdom what it is: a slow execution in the name of goodness. When his clean, bloodless escape turns her into the city’s scapegoat, he keeps his promise. He takes her away from the knives.
In his gilded cage, Mirin finds herself cherished, fed, and carefully contained. Gortash offers what Baldur’s Gate never did: rest, brutal honesty, and devotion that feels a lot like possession. Outside, the city howls for its missing hero. Inside, the man she tried to save patiently proves his point about power and people built to break themselves for a cause.
Leaving him means returning to martyrdom. Staying means surrendering to a love that will never let her go.
