Summary
Following the Twilight Incident, Link leaves Ordon Village so he can begin his duties working for Princess Zelda. Even with peace restored to Hyrule, Link is saddened by how the only person he loves, the Twilight Princess Midna, cannot be with him due to how their worlds need to be apart.
A year passes, with a new threat emerging in the form of Dark Link, who wants to conquer not just Hyrule, but the Twilight Realm as well.
Two worlds meet once more, as do two friends as they set about the impending doom their homes are threatened by.

The diary was recovered and restored by members of the Lookout Landing Research Association’s Zonai Studies division.

A few weeks have passed since Prince Ralis gained the confidence to lead his people, the Zoras, following the death of his mother, the late Queen Rutela. While he may have royal duties to attend to, he is still a child – ten years old, no less – and still has much to learn.
Returning from a visit to Princess Zelda at Hyrule Castle, Ralis encounters a Hylian his age. The encounter is brief, but the Hylian – a certain girl his age who has an interest in bugs – seems to be stuck in his mind. He cannot stop thinking about her. He soon realises why: he loves her.
