Lila has to navigate a way to stay out of the plot, avoid being akumatized and most of all stay away from Marinette and Adrien. And hopefully not die in the process because now supervillains are very real and can kill you. Easier said than done tbh.

Summary
Eight years had passed since Felix delivered the miraculous straight to Shadowmoth. What felt like the end of the world at the time had become just another date in the history books. As the world changed, most things stayed the same. Marinette was still a hero, Adrien was still a hopeless romantic, and Lila was still a manipulative, evil little- well, you get the point.
The things that had changed, though, left the greatest impact. Lila's lies were finally exposed, and friends were forgiven in the aftermath. Battles had been won and miraculous had been recovered, causing Monarch to keep those he still had close to his chest. Most of all though, Chloe Bourgeois had completely turned her life around. It was a long and difficult process, but after basically disowning her own mother, apologizing to those she'd hurt, returning as Queen Bee, and starting a relationship with the girl of her dreams, many who knew Chloe Bourgeois during collège would hardly recognize her. Then, more than any other time in her life, Chloe was happy.
Of course, that was before she woke up trapped five years in the past and realized she had lost it all.

Adrien Agreste has always been lied to. Told that "everything will be just fine"; his mother would recover from her illness. That his father still loved him when the man was neglectful and borderline-abusive. He expected the world to coddle him; even his friends sometimes did, because they cared. That was the lie he told himself. Evidently, ignorance is in fact bliss. If he never knew of Monarch's identity, then clearly he couldn't be hurt by it. Marinette certainly seemed to believe that, hiding the terrible secret for over three long years. Taking his agency away inadvertedly, because that was "best" for him.

Summary
With over half a decade of supervillainy under her belt, Lila Rossi really should have made something of herself by now. Instead, she's stuck studying endless legal cases, cramming for exams, and dealing with an Eldritch God whose only advice is ceasing her hobby of magical terrorism. Her frustrations have been building for days; all Chrysalis wants to do is repeatedly slam Ladybug's spine into a hard brick wall.
Unable to focus for a moment longer and in a vain attempt to relieve stress, Lila is faced with the realization that she wants her nemesis. At least carnally, if her Miraculous is still out of reach. Denial however is not merely a river, and in an attempt to project her own frustrations elsewhere, Chrysalis stumbles upon a way to make the consequences of admitting her repressed feelings fade away...or at least define a new, temporary normal. One where the world no longer minds what she might do...and at least one of her wishes will surely be granted.

The Akuma class are celebrating Halloween at the Phantom Manor, a haunted house outside of Paris that Chloe has rented for a Senior party at the manipulative request of the one and only Lila Rossi. As the class enjoys a night of halloween themed fun, Lila uses the opportunity to complete her biggest coup yet, get rid of Marinette Dupain-Cheng for good. Using the cover of a haunted house, Lila plans to separate Adrien from his friends and finally have him to herself, but in her persuit the entire group gets more than what they planned.
Who from the senior class will survive a night at Phantom Manor when an Akuma brings illusions that create individual horrors that lead to the students needing to kill or be killed?

Marinette hopes everything goes back to normal but as soon as she wakes up, she finds out nothing went back to normal, needing to go to school, she faces the consequences of having everyone fall for her all of a sudden, even the girls that previously hated her, which leads to Marinette not meassuring her words and learns she can influence this new world more than she thought she would, while learning to adapt to this new world where she's the center of her girl's world... Maybe... Just maybe it's not as bad as she thought it was at first... -

Marinette constantly deals with the consequences of a world where Hawkmoth immediately came into possession of the black cat miraculous. Marinette is also grappling with the consequences of Lila Rossi’s promise to separate her from her friends (which has been mostly successful, though Chloe and Alix know better).
Amelie makes a deal with (read— threatens) Gabriel to allow Adrien to attend public school, so long as Félix also attends (against Félix’s will). Marinette’s experiences of consequences and luck begin changing when she meets the two new boys who help her learn how to trust the world again.
By the way: Sentimonster Adrien but no Sentimonster Félix, with some modifications on how sentimonsters work. For this work, the further a sentimonster is from their amok, the more free will they have.
(Some of the tags are preemptive, and I assume I will update them as time goes on. This fic begins in October of the school year after the one in the show.)
