That was a savage tone, a facing off with the enemy tone, but the most Technoblade could muster in response was a bile-black, oily shudder, sticky with horror and scraps of adrenaline. Generally the aftermath of a major action was shakiness, so that wasn’t weird, but this was different somehow. He had his eyes closed. He was lying on the floor like a rookie who’d given up, and he couldn’t even muster determination at that because existence wasn’t real and neither was he–
Stop. Recalibrate. Philza was yelling at something above his head, and Techno was facedown on a stone floor, cold enough to sting the tiny amount of skin that touched it. The floor was adorned with symbols he didn’t recognize, an octangula with fluid wavering edges and more lines that hurt to look at, but he could simply decide to look away, so he did that.
Score one for Technoblade. If reality stopped making sense, that was reality’s problem.

He’s open to eldritch beings, but he’s not actually some slavering fetishist, the kind of guy who calls himself a ‘monsterfucker’ without a trace of irony. Or respect. Curtis needs a room, Shiro needs a roommate, surely Curtis can be an adult and share this lovely apartment, in the exact area of town he needs, with a male Mi-Go hybrid his own age and not do anything weird, stupid, or creepy.

In the past, this truth was always spread by word of mouth; now, only a select few cats know of their true place in the universe: Their existence—everything in existence—is nothing more than a clock ticking down to an inevitable conclusion, one that not even StarClan will be able to stop. The cats were not the first to inherit the earth and will most definitely not be the last. Beyond the veil of their limited perception, strange, maddening things and hidden secrets await release. When they emerge, everything shall burn to the crawling madness. Soon, Waspfoot shall too learn the truth.

For all the spooky rumors about Misktonic University, it’s not so bad. Really, Curtis will take all the place’s ghillies and ghosties and long-legged beasties over the smug, milk-white and meat-pink little boys who call him ‘darkie,’ and worse when they think they can get away with it. The library enforces quiet, and the awful age and frightening contents of so many of its volumes shocks the little bastards into silence. And like any library, it’s cool in summer and warm in winter, and the order is soothing. Besides, Curtis has always loved books.
