Minerva is a world of infinite possibilities. In it exists not just one universe, but many. They're called servers and each one is uniquely special. For years, Sapnap and George have lived comfortably as bounty hunters in Hypixel. But this all changes one fateful day.
Somehow, they land a gig that could make them rich beyond their wildest dreams. But the deeper they travel into the multiverse, the closer they become with their bounty. What first was a job, becomes a harmless game of cat-and-mouse. Doubts begin to form, but it is too late and the job must be finished.

"Puffy told us about Connor" Dream jolted up, the glasses slipping forward on their nose and causing them to hiss out in sudden pain.
Eret jumped into action, having them lean back and the glasses going back further on the face again.
"Dream please calm down" Eret begged, flinching at the way the place they were sitting at was now missing.

Dream is set free after four long years of isolation, no longer going to be tortured and beaten by Quackity.
At least, he thinks.
With the server dying, people are evacuated with the last of Dream's abilities as a server admin, locking them up until the server is completely gone and they can make a new one, under watch of course.
Sent to live in a temporary server with the rest of the SMP, Dream and the others have to deal with making things through till they are all cleared by the council.
Now with a child, a paid for apartment leased under contract, and a job with community service as someone on parole, still underwatch by those of the server, Dream feels the weight of reality on their shoulders.
Perhaps domestic life might do them some good, if not, then the PTSD might drive them further into insanity.

Radegast dies the day after the spooky festival.
It’s a normal day, spooky festival aside. Moon checks on his minions, swings around the garden, and comes back to fish for the remaining few minutes of the festival. He’s heading down to the trading post, just back from another check-up on his minions, and that’s when he sees Radegast’s stall empty.
First thing he does is look around. Things happen. Monsters escape all the time, it isn’t unreasonable to assume that Radegast snuck out. So he looks. Walks up and down the path, checks in the other stalls, the Bluefish, the killbox, the tavern, the caves, even the tower to see if he made it up there somehow. Nothing but a few stray cows and chickens.
That leaves one other explanation: Radegast’s dead. Moon doesn’t know how, when, or why, but the end result’s the same. The one other soul in this little Eden in the abyss is dead.

“What’s the catch?” He jogged forward, still cautious.
“You let me help you find an alternative to the ring.”
Tommy rolled his eyes. “Good luck, you’re starting from scratch.”
