So with a few tweaks of his synthskin, he added wrinkles and a bit of salt to his hair. Androids weren't ever built to look a day over thirty; no one would suspect someone who looked fifty to be a deviant in disguise.

They were strewn about in varying states of disarray, some were missing limbs, others had great dents in their skulls or cracks in their plastimetal chassis. The thirium had long dried and disappeared to the human eye, but Connor could still see it. It was everywhere. Splashes of blue blood stained the walls in blue handprints and marks of struggles, stains on the floor where the vital liquid had pooled where the other androids had laid, helpless and hurting. It was a horror show and now Connor was stuck in the middle of it. He was scared.

Call it what you like, the remnants of some long-forgotten protocol, so old that the software engineers forgot they built it into their systems, or the lingering trauma of being abused and debased by anti-android humans, or even just some desire to still be of use to Lieutenant Anderson.
