Summary
Written for seniorpotato on tumblr, who asked for a sort-of-Frozen!AU
Every Hobbit in the Shire has a Season. The children of Summer are known for their fires, the Springs for their skills at gardening and healing, and the Autumns for the winds that they can bend to their will.
Bilbo Baggins has a different Season, a cursed Season.
Bilbo Baggins is a child of Winter, blamed by many for the suffering of the Fell Winter of his infancy. Shunned and forced to restrain his powers with an amulet, Bilbo suddenly finds his skills needed to assist a horde of suicidal Dwarves on their Quest to kill a dragon.
Fire cannot kill a dragon, but perhaps Ice can... if it can be controlled. -

Summary
for the excellent prompt on LJ by LadyRedFeather:
"Everyone is alive after the battle to reclaim Erebor and Thorin banished Bilbo away. With a heavy heart Bilbo says nothing and goes back to the Shire alone.
Gandalf also departs, solemly wishing the Dwarves happiness in their home. The Company is more than a little distraught about their missing Burglar.Months later a panicked Gandalf comes running into Erebor with only this to say “The Shire, has fallen."
Azog had a son who survived the battle of Erebor and went to take his revenge on the one person he could. The Burglar Bilbo Baggins. He took the remaining Orcs and Wargs to lay siege on the Shire. Thorin, dispite is past dispute with Bilbo, has recently seen the errors of his ways and they set out to aide the Shire.Bonus points for Bilbo taking charge in the Shire and is a great leader who teaches the Hobbits how to fight, defend, trap, and kill their enemies in various ways, even with regular household items.
Extra Bonus points for BAMF hobbits wielding kitchen knives, spades, shovels, etc. (though they still need assistance in ridding of all the enemies)"
Hope you enjoy!

Summary
Written for a prompt:
So at the beginning of the Third Age, the hobbits begin to migrate. The reasons for this happening are unknown, but suspected that this was due to the rising evil in Mirkwood. We're going to say it was DEFINITELY because of shit going down in Mirkwood. The first place the hobbits thought to turn to was Erebor. They were turned away for being too soft and having no places amongst dwarves. (They were also turned away from other settlements, resulting in them being distrusting of the other races.) Thus their Wandering Days continued until they came across the Shire. A looooooong time later, Smaug attacks Erebor. No help comes from the Elves, and the Dwarves become a wandering race. They hear of a prosperous land full of kind, soft people and decide to head towards that. Thorin, as the leader of a lost people, decides to have a meeting with the Thaine and whoever else important enough in the Shire to talk about settling near Hobbiton or Tookborough since their home was taken by Smaug.
And truly, do these tables turn...
Chapter Six taken down for some changes, will be back soon (hopefully).

Summary
For all the strife that has spread across Arda through the Ages, none seemed to touch the hobbits once the Children of Yavanna settled in the Shire. When questioned, outsiders were told that the Shire was protected by and cradled in Yavanna’s Hands.

Summary
the Rage was a parenting instinct, meant to help normally weak hobbits protect their children. Of course, if one didn't have their own children, it could kick in around those close enough to be considered family. In retrospect, the only surprising thing was that it hadn't happened sooner.

Summary
"Bring us Bilbo Baggins and wipe away the debt", the hobbits told him. But no one told Thorin, heir of Durin's Line, that he would have to fight for his life in the Sky Elven Kingdom of Aduial. No one mentioned the mechanized dragon Smaug, or that he would have to resort to using elven magic to save his and Bilbo's lives. And no one certainly method one tiny little fact: that Bilbo had been kidnapped for his ability to warp space and time using Tears in the fabric of reality, a power that could change the world--a power King Thranduil wants to keep locked away in a tower forever. Now Thorin must learn whom to trust, how to stay alive, and fight off opposition--including the seeds of greed growing in his own heart telling him to take the hobbit to Erebor instead--if he and Bilbo are to survive. But Thorin's heart is calling out the truth, and in all honesty? Bilbo deserves love—and a home—after forty years away. And at this rate, Bilbo will certainly have love.
Oh, and no one mentioned his nephews were to be stowaways, either. Just great.
A Bioshock Infinite AU where Bilbo and Thorin get a real chance at happiness--even if it is among the clouds and the sky.
