The hit resonates above the noise of the city. His head snaps to the side, eyes forced to the cracked concrete below. He can feel the blood beading where her ring has carved into his cheek and it stings under her touch but the vitriolic Arabic that so sharply rolls off her tongue right after cuts so much deeper.
"You are an only child, Ibn al Xu'ffasch."
Her nails dig into his jaw, forcing his head up to meet her eyes. "You have always been an only child. You'd do well to remember that."
A part of him resents her for calling him the sole heir. Splinters at the idea he was born alone. Another wonders if she is right. If he can even call himself a brother anymore when his is scattered, thousands of miles away, ashes in an unmarked grave.

Damian let the ‘R’ slip from his fingers, a final goodbye. He slipped his mask on and began his patrol, out of the Bats’ sight. Gotham’s criminals learned of a new terror that night. He never killed, but he made you wish he had. -

Insecurity isn't anything new to Damian and since coming to live with his father nor is crushing self-doubt and alienation. Haunted by his past as and convinced his family sees him only as a weapon. When a breakout at Arkham forces the Bats into action, Damian disobeys orders in a desperate bid to prove himself. Instead, his defiance earns Batman’s harsh judgment and an indefinite suspension from Robin. Left in a void Damian starts to questioning whether he belongs anywhere at all.

Death was not a new concept to Damian Wayne. Not when he died. Over and over and over. Not when the Lazarus Pit flowed beneath his skin. Death wasn't something Damian was worried about .Not when he couldn't die. But holding secrets from his family, who paint him as reckless and too abrasive, is bound to pile up till it explodes. And of course, it starts and ends with Damian dying. Oh, and Jon's there too. Damian blames the start of his unraveling as Jonathan's fault. But, to be fair, its really not as bad as it seems. So in conclusion, this was all Ra’s fault.

Danny is Damian’s older brother who “died” 5 years earlier, and now he is trying to avoid him in hopes his bullshit doesn’t come to haunt him too, while at the same time planning Ra’s funeral, what could ever go wrong?

Jason is brought to the League of Assassins after his death. While there, he ends up assigned as the demon prince's hellhound between rigorous trainings to destroy Batman. The small one ends up taking priority.
Damian is the heir to the al Ghul name, and heir to his father's title (once he figures out who that is). His life has been nothing but preparation. Until he gains a big brother, and begins to learn there is life outside of violence.
Bruce didn't know his second son was alive, let alone that he had a biological child. And now? He has to pick up the pieces of his failures.

It's hard to trust an Alpha again after such an event, even one as kind and considerate as Bruce has been all these years.Jason, Bruce's pup, knows himself what that kind of broken trust can do to a person. He almost seems to be able to smell it off him.
